Days after the incident between you and the pharaoh, Mana decided to have a discussion with him. As she walked into the throne room, she spotted the pharaoh on his throne, quietly speaking to Priest Seto.

'Now is my chance',

"My pharaoh may I have a word with you?"

Atem looked up at Mana, a bit surprised. He did not expect her to speak to him after the past incident. It usually took her time to speak to him after something like that,

"Of course Mana"

She took a deep breath,

"My Pharaoh, I just wanted to confirm that Calixta did not go against your words with a malicious intent. She planned on battling Bakura herself because she was the royal guard after all. She made you a promise to protect you and your people. And forgive me for saying this my king, but that is exactly what she did"

The king thought about her words. She was right, Calixta did protect him and his people. He was about to retort, but he decided against it. The king knew if Calixta had informed him, he would have joined the battle himself, thinking things over he realized she purposely avoided telling him, because she knew he would join and risk his life,

"I understand Mana. However, that will not change the consequences Calixta must suffer"

The said girl looked up,

"Of course my king. I just wanted to let you know what had truly occurred",

And with that Mana bowed for the pharaoh, before stepping out of the room.

Atem carefully looked into Mana's words. He felt a bit better now that he knew your intent was not to betray him. He felt a level of trust arise once more.

For the next 6 months, you followed your duties as a guard. You were back to guarding the throne room. Although, this time you were not allowed to leave Atem's side unless he ordered you to. Slowly, things repaired themselves between the two of you. It was a hard 6 months, but you both managed. Your birthday was coming up very soon. The pharaoh decided to demonstrate his newly found trust with a surprise celebration.

"Calixta! Where are you?"

"I'm here"

You were laying in bed, covered by your many blankets. You adored blankets with your soul just as much as you adored sleep. Mana glared at you. She looked like a mom with her hands on her hips,

"Wake up, sleep is for the weak"

"Shhhh I'm dreaming"

Suddenly, you felt yourself slip out of dream world and right onto the floor,

"Oh my ra! THAT HURT!"

"And I don't care"

You looked back at Mana menacingly. Quickly, you stood, ready to attack the women with your pillow,

"Ladies, what is going on here?"

You spotted the pharaoh, peaking in from behind the door,

"U-um nothing hehe"

You couldn't help but feel embarrassed. Atem examined you in your sleepwear. The pharaoh smirked upon the sight of your figure. You looked beautiful to him, no matter what. He thought back to the reason he came,

"Mana, Mahad had requested your presence."

"Of course!"

And with that, the happy girl darted out of the room. The pharaoh proceeded to offer you a hug,

"Happy birthday Calixta. I hope you enjoy this day. We're finally the same age"

You tensed briefly, before hugging the king back, embracing his smell. Soft warm hands caressed your back,

"We may be the same age physically, but not mentally, old wise one" you retorted

The Pharaoh sent you a playful glare before chuckling. His chuckle faded quickly as a look of seriousness crossed his face,

"I have some information on Bakura. I will inform you about later it on. Although you may not be the royal guard, you still are a palace guard"

You sat down wondering what the information could be. Is Bakura back again?
