It was finally the day of your wedding. You felt so excited. Mana and the servants helped you get dressed. The palace had been cleaned three times for preparation. You were to switch dresses three times during the ceremony. Servants roamed your room settling down the items for your hair and makeup. You provided the servants with eyeliner. You wanted them to look their best also. You felt your feet grow cold from how anxious you were. You were pulled out of your thoughts when Mana pulled your first dress up,
You exhaled deeply,
"Thank you Mana, this dress is incredibly beautiful"
The girl wiped the sweat from her forehead with the back of her hand before releasing a sigh,
"It's no problem Calixta. I mean you are getting married after all"
The female began squealing and awwing at the thought of you and the pharaoh sitting together on the throne. You smiled softly. You thanked the gods that you were going to marry the love of your life. You were pulled out of your thoughts,
"Earth to Calixta are you there?" You looked at the women and blinked,
"Yes"
She chuckled,
"Let's get you out this room and into the throne room before Seto begins screaming his head off"
Swiftly, Mana and the servants led you out of the room, creating a path for you to follow. Upon arrival to the throne room, you began to feel uneasy. You were actually getting married now! You knew for a fact you wanted to marry Atem, but you felt your thoughts sinking in last minute. Mana pulled you aside,
"You can do this Calixta. You'll be alright"
She smiled reassuringly,
"If it makes you feel better, just look straight at Atem. Look at him until you feel as if you are the only two people in the room"
You glanced at the female,
"Thank you so much for everything Mana"
You tightly hugged the women as if she would disappear,
"Of course. Now go get your pharaoh, don't leave him waiting!"
You chuckled before walking into the throne room. Everyone stared at you. You couldn't help but feel self-conscious. You looked straight ahead only to meet with a pair of familiar violet-colored orbs. You smiled brightly. This was it. The pharaoh ran his eyes over your figure before landing them solely on yours. He smiled charmingly, the light in his eyes reaching his mouth in all of its glory. The look on his face showed you he knew you were scared. You took a deep breath. His gaze reassured you. Both of you said your vows before the pharaoh pressed a gentle kiss onto your lips. Everyone in the room cheered loudly. Laughing and smiling. The servants quickly rushed you and Atem to the balcony, where the both of you sat down in your throne chairs as the ceremony carried on. You smiled, watching the kingdom's people gather before you and the pharaoh with joy. Cheers could be heard from all over the kingdom. They now had a queen.
The council brought out the crowns, gently laying them onto your heads. Before you could look off the balcony, Atem grasped your hands. You looked up concerned,
"Is something wrong my pharaoh?"
Atem smiled,
"I just needed my queen to have her wedding ring"
Then and there, the king pulled out the Millennium maiden ring. No one from the kingdom had ever seen it, except the council, the pharaoh's father and the pharaoh himself. You glanced at the ring. It gleamed under the sun's rays, sporting the eye of Horus on its center. Although it was fairly simple, it's golden design looked beautiful. He slid the ring onto your finger,
"My father had given me this before he passed away."
The pharaoh paused, softly grabbing your hand and bringing it to his lips, pressing a gentle kiss onto your knuckles,
"It is now yours, my love."
Your heart overflowed with joy. As soon as Atem slid the ring onto your finger, it felt as if time stopped. His pendant began to glow brightly along with your ring. You both held the pieces up to each other to see them create a glowing light, radiating the symbol of Horus. Once you had pulled them away, you hugged your king, wrapping your arms around his neck,
"Thank you for everything Atem"
He placed a tender kiss on your forehead,
"Of course my love. We shall now rule the kingdom and save our people with the power of our Millennium pieces"
You held onto one another as the celebration continued. With new found determination, you were both going to save your people.
