October 31st, 2013 LATER ENTRY

Mila looked at me, surprised that we were heading back to the cemetery that we first met. I smiled, pulled up the drive, cut the engine, jumped out of the cab, helped Mila out, closed the doors and locked the truck, then walked with Mila down the winding dirt path, back to the river bank where we first met. Where I first fell in love with a vampire...this vampire to be exact.

Mila smiled shyly, looking up at me, love and surprise shinning in her eyes. “You do know that, even though I am a vampire, I cannot read actually thoughts, correct?”

I laughed and took Mila's hands in my own. “Hey, I'm human sweetheart! I can't do that either!”

Mila blushed and giggled. I smiled, and felt once more for the ring box that I had placed in my pocket before driving with Mila to this very spot. I turned and faced Mila, her hands still in mine. “Mila...just being near you makes me soar. No joke! Whenever I'm near you, wither its lying beside you in bed, sitting beside you in the car, I feel like gravity can't even pull be back down.”

Her blush darkened, and I got down on one knee, still holding one of her hands, and pulled out the ring box. I heard Mila's swift gasp, and I held the box in front of me, opening it to show the two karat diamond engagement ring that I had picked up on my way home after work.

“Mila...will you do me the honour of, not only making me the luckiest and happiest man alive, but also being my wife?”

Her jaw dropped for a second, and I waited. Mila blinked a few times, covered her open mouth with her free and, and nodded.

“Yes. Oh, God...yes!” she cried ecstatically.

I couldn't help but grin as I took the ring out of the box and slid it onto her finger, which was trembling. I got up off my knee, and noticed the blood tears that were coating her cheeks. I dried her eyes and kissed her gently.

“Hey, you okay?” I asked her, looking her over.

Mila nodded, smiling. “Yes...just crying tears of joy.”

I smiled and held her close. “Sweetheart, I love you so much.”

“I love you too...”
