Diary;

God...oh God! I am officially damned! I have just killed a man! After Emmerson threw Matthew off of me, the smell of fresh blood caused me to go insane. I...I could not control myself! Oh, God!

It wasn't until Mathew was sucked dry, and Emmerson touched my shoulder that I pulled back, my face caked in fresh, red blood. I looked from the gaping would on Matthew's neck, to my hands.

I bounded backwards, away from the dead body and doubled over. “Oh, my God!”

Emmerson checked the vital signs then walked over to me and dried my eyes.

“It’s okay, Mila...I swear it's okay.”

I shook my head. “No it is far from okay...I just killed a man...!”

Emmerson held onto me, Alex showed up, coming forward from behind a gravestone.

She looked from Matthew's body, to Emmerson, and then finally her eyes landed on me. I saw my death in her eyes. In Alex's hand was a wooden stake, perfect for plunging into my heart. I swallowed hard and stepped in front of Alex, my back to the man who showed me what it was like to live again, the man who showed me how to work the devises of this time...the man whom I gave my heart to...and who gave me his heart in return...

“You killed him...” Alex stated viciously.

I nodded and bowed my head. “I am the one responsible for Matthew's death, yes.”

Alex narrowed her eyes upon me. “You're a monster! You don't deserve to live!”

I cringed at Alex's words, but said nothing. After all, there was nothing that I could say.

Alex looked behind me, to Emmerson, and said as coldly as the early winter's breeze; “Now you'll know how it feels to lose everyone you love...just like I did...”

Then, she plunged the stake into my heart...
