Taehyung smiled when he saw Jimin walk out of his house looking like the most beautiful angel. His lips covered in a shiny lip gloss that you could see sparkle from fifteen feet away and an all white suit that showed off his waist and curves perfectly.

Jimin got into the passenger side of the car and gave Taehyung a small smile, turning to face the front without a word. Taehyung frowned at that not sure what that meant for the rest of the night, he just wanted everything to be okay again.

He must have been staring to long for Jimin to lightly hit him on the cheek, making him snap out of it. Jimin laughed at his friend's widen eyes, and the younger boy couldn't help but join him.

"Come on we're late." Taehyung nodded, starting the car and reversing out of the drive way. It was quiet, something both boys hated, but they didn't know what to say between all the tension.

Taehyung was unconsciously biting his lip as he thought of what he could say to kill the tension, he wanted tonight to be fun for the both of them, even if they didn't spend it together. The only way that could happen was if the two best friends were on good terms, and they both knew that.

He finally made the decision to pull over a few minutes away from Jin and Namjoon's house. Talking now would make everything easier later, but only if he did it right.

"What are you doing?" Jimin asked confused, turning towards the other boy for an answer. Taehyung licked his lips before looking at the angel next to him.

"I saw you yesterday Jimin, in front of my house." The other boy shook his head in disbelief, reaching for the door handle ready to get out of the suffocating atmosphere.

Taehyung quickly locked the doors and tried grabbing for Jimin's hands, wanting him to calm down and listen to him.

"Let me go! You really have the nerve to watch me cry outside your house, and call me your best friend and say you love me!"

There were tears that threatened to fall from Jimin's eyes, but he refused to let them this time. The past twenty-four hours had become to much for him to handle, and it was finally all crashing down in front of the person that made it all happen.

Taehyung firmly grabbed onto one of Jimin's hands and put the other on his soft cheek. He sucked in his bottom lip when he saw the other boy's closed eyes, not wanting to see the one that caused all his pain.

"Jimin, baby please" Taehyung was surprised by the flinch that came from the other. He wanted to do this right, and so far all he was doing was making everything worse.

Jimin couldn't help but to open his eyes as he felt Taehyung's thumb circling around on his cheek in a comforting manner. This was the boy he fell in love with, the caring and compassionate one, the one that took care of him and made him laugh for hours straight.

He was willing to listen to whatever he had to say, so Jimin nodded gesturing Taehyung to speak. All he hoped for was no more heartbreak, and no more tears.

"I didn't go out to you because I knew you wanted to leave, and if I would have went out there I would have been greedy and made you stay, and that's not fair to you." Jimin watched Taehyung's face closely as he spoke, seeing the exact moment he's eyes started to tear up.

"I wanted to go out to you so bad, it hurts to see you like that, but I couldn't. I'm so sorry Jimin, I hate myself for always pushing you to do things." Taehyung looked down shamefully, stuck staring at their intertwined hands.

"Tae, it's okay."

"It's not." The two boy's eyes met, making Jimin sallow at the seriousness in his friends face.

"I forgive you though, so can we please put this behind us?" Taehyung nodded reluctantly, hoping this would really be over.

"I don't think I deserve you." The words were just a mere whisper that Jimin almost missed them. He couldn't really say if Taehyung deserved him or not, but it didn't matter because Jimin knew that all he wanted was his best friend.

He kissed Taehyung on the cheek and let go of his hands, facing forward so they could finally get to the party.

"I do love you" Jimin froze, not expecting the words he's always wanted to hear, not getting his hopes up in case of heartbreak.

"As a friend." Taehyung quickly said, a bit panicked at how strong the simple phase was.

The words made his heartbeat quicken as soon as they left his mouth, it felt like a forbidden phrase that should never be spoken.

"Of course." Jimin forced a smile, and if Taehyung noticed he didn't say anything.
