I try hard to only talk to Emily and Ava in my room so that the others don't see me talking to them, even though there are some days when I'm out in the garden that I talk to them. Living here has been a big change in my life. The people here are super nice and have been really helping me out. Hell they even remind me to take my meds at night...gold figure.

It's been a good month now and I haven't seen or heard any of the dark voices. I actually even catch myself smiling at times...even laughing. Today we have visitors and my mom is coming out. I haven't spoken to her since the day she left me here. A part of me wants to see her and another part of me doesn't. It's so hard to explain how she makes me feel.

When her car pulls up, I'm out in the garden picking some of the tomatoes for the salsa. She walks over to me and yells. "Sophie...darling...I'm here."

"Hey...I'm almost done. Would you like to help?"

"Uhm...sure why not."

I hand her a few of the tomatoes so I can pick a few more. "You look great...guess this place is working out after all."

"Yeah...I guess so. It's what you had planned right...so why wouldn't it be working out."

"Sophie please don't start...I did not come here to argue."

"I'm not arguing with you...I'm just stating the facts. So what was this really...a place for me to live forever...what you hoping I would hook up with that Andy guy?"

"Hey if you do you do...he is a really nice guy...He says you are doing amazing out here."So she is keeping up with me...of course she is.

"Does he now...what do you like talk to him every day or something?"

"Not every day...and it's not what you think?"

"Really...so you call him up and talk to him...but you can't just call up your own daughter and ask her?"

"I...I thought you wouldn't talk to me."

"So you talk to him...about me...I don't believe this shit. When are you ever going to just let me be? You don't believe in me do you...you just know I'm going to mess up and go back down that wrong road...and you are waiting for me to do it aren't you?"

"Sophie..."I walk towards the kitchen to drop of the tomatoes.

Anna sees my mom and hugs her right off. "Oh...Jessica it's so nice that you could come out today...Sophie has been an amazing help around here."

"She knows Anna...it's like she doesn't talk to Andy about me every day." I place the tomatoes on the kitchen island and walk off. I leave my mom with standing by Anna...I'm sure they will have lots to talk about without me being there.

 I go to the barn and grab Lightning's reins and pull myself up on him. I take off. I hear someone calling my name but I don't bother stopping instead I kick him in the side to make him go even faster. I just don't want to be there right now. I ride him all the way to the pond and jump off to let him drink.

Within seconds I hear the hooves of Thunder riding up and I know it is Andy."What's wrong?"

"Go ask my mom...you seem to talk to her enough."

"Ouch..." He gets down and walks over to me. "It's not like that you know."

"Really...it's not like that. I haven't talked to her since I have been here and apparently you two have been keeping up with each other."

"She's just worried about you."

"If she was so worried she would have called me...talked to me not you and why didn't you just tell me. I had to hear her tell me that you guys talk all the time."
