Why people ship it:
Sam and T'Challa first met in Civil War. Sam, Steve and T'Challa are captured by the UN, and in the car ride Sam breaks the silence by asking "Do you like cats?", T'Challa is amused by his question. both have animal themes in their name and suits, which would be a shipping aesthetic for some people. Though in the comics they banter with each other, they are not seen together very often in the movies. Both fight against Thanos' army in Infinity War, both decimated by the snap, and both come through the Wakandan portal in Endgame.
Do I ship them?
Not particularly, I prefer Sam with Bucky or Rhodey :> However I want to see more of Sam and T'Challa, and especially to see Sam and Shuri meeting.
