Two weeks later.

Shawn and I were packed and ready to go to Ohio now because Tyler repeatedly kept texting me, which was very worrying.

Carlos has completely disappeared not answering anyone's calls. And my mom, she's seems to have changed too since Ava and her boyfriend moved in. She's stopped calling me completely and when I do call her it's a very short conversation. I prayed everything at home was alright because I loved my family no matter how crazy they were.

"I'm so tired" I yawned as I wrapped my arms around Shawn's torso and pressed my face into his chest.

"You'll get some sleep on the plane" he says as he kissed the top of my head.

We were standing in line waiting to board our flight, I was very surprised with how busy it was. Who knew people needed an emergency flight at 4am to Ohio.

Once we got on to the plane, I immediately cuddled up to Shawn and rested against him. His hand rubbed up and down my sides as he kissed my forehead. "I love you" he whispered as he held my other hand.

"I love you too" I mumbled against his shoulder before I closed my eyes and fell asleep.

"Valery...babe...wake up" I could hear Shawn's voice as he softly tried to wake me up.

"Hmmph" I groaned as I refused to wake up.

"We're here come on get up" he says as his fingers stroked my cheek.

"I'll buy you food" he says and my eyes snapped open.

"I'm fucking starving let's get some food" I say and he laughed.

We stood up and he held my hand the whole way as we went to collect our bag. Then we headed to McDonald's for food before going home because I wonder if we're even going to be getting food.

I sat eating chicken nuggets this time instead of my usual. Shawn had a burger and I unwrapped it as I pulled all the pickles out.

"What are you doing?" He asks eyeing his burger.

"I want your pickles" I say and he laughed as I handed him his burger back.

We both ate our food contently before I called Tyler to come and get us from the airport. I wrapped my arms around Shawn tightly and he started laughing.

"You're awfully clingy today" he says.

"Clingy is my middle name" I say and he chuckled as his squeezed me and kissed the top of my head.

We stood waiting until Tyler's car parked up which we both got into and buckled ourselves in. "Hey Tyler" I smiled and he smiled at me in relief.

"I'm so glad you're here and you're normal" he says.

"What's been going on?" I asked and watched as he took a deep breath.

"Ava's boyfriend is staying with us. He's so fucking scary and mom I don't even know what's up with her because she is going along to whatever they say. Things are changing and I'm so worried, also Ava kicked Carlos out. So he's been missing for weeks almost" he explains.

"What the actual fuck is going on?" I spoke and he shrugged.

"Well whatever it is we can sort it and hopefully get rid of whatever the problem is" Shawn adds.

"I'm scared" Tyler says.

"I'm very worried too but I hope everything is fine" I say and Shawn squeezed my hand in reassurance.

We stopped off at home the front door that was once cherry red my mother's favourite colour was now black. The flowers in the front yard were dead when she used to take care of them all the time.

I grabbed onto Shawn's hand holding it tightly because my heart was actually pounding out of my chest from the worry. Tyler unlocked to door and we entered the house.

This was the first time in months I stepped foot here after being kicked out by Ava. The atmosphere seemed changed too and I didn't like it all. The homely vibe had gone and now seemed damp and cold.

Shawn felt the weirdness and change in vibe as we both gave each other a weird look. "They're here!" Tyler announced and I could hear rapid foot steps.

"Auntie Val!" Leia the four year-old screamed as she came running and jumping into my arms.

"Hey Leia how are you?" I asked as I kissed her cheek.

"I'm good, I like you blue hair" she says as her ring fingers stroked through my hair.

Then her eyes looked over at Shawn and he was equally as surprised. "Leia this is my boyfriend can you say hi" I say to her and she shyly just waved which he returned.

Then Ava and my mom appeared. I internally rolled my eyes seeing my sisters face. "Honey you're home" my mother beamed as she hugged me once I let go of Leia.

"Shawn" my mom smiled at him as she patted his arm.

"Valery!" Ava beamed with an extremely fake smile and I clenched my teeth as I was forced into a hug.

"Nice to meet you I'm Ava" she said to Shawn and he just nodded before holding my hand.

"Go upstairs both of you and freshen up" she said and she didn't have to tell me twice because I was already bolting up the stairs with Shawn into my room.

Well not my room anymore because it was bright pink and my bed was changed into a princess bed. In the corner was a huge box of my things. I sighed a I sat on the bed and Shawn joined me as he wrapped his arms around my shoulders.

"You really don't like her?" He asks.

"Fucking hate her, literally hate everyone right now" I say and he laughed.

"Except you. My mood is better with you" I say as I kissed his jaw and he smiled.

"My whole life is better with you" He says and I giggled before hiding my face into his chest.

"I'm not lying, I really fucking love you Valery. I literally am going to marry you. I'm never ever letting you go, I would rather kill myself then let you go" he says and I smiled up at him.

"Oh Shawn; I love you too. And I can't wait to be your wife" I say and he grinned before he kissed me.

I could hear chatter from outside of the door and then the door opened revealing Ava. "How are you doing Valery? You haven't called since you left" she says sweetly.

Oh stab me in the fucking head.

"You never called to check up on me" I said dryly.

"I've been busy with the kids and my boyfriend moving in and all" she laughed.

"I've been busy with my life too" I say.

"So Shawn tell me about you? It'll be nice to know each other" She smile at him.

I think the fuck not bitch.

"Daddy's home! Mom! Daddy's home" Leia's voice screeched which stop Shawn from saying anything to her.

"Tell him to come up here to see our guests" she says to Leia who's rapid little footsteps were heard.

I had and uneasy feeling in my stomach as I looked up at Shawn who looked the same but he smiled at and kissed my forehead.

"Aaah that tickles!" Leia squealed from the hall ways before we heard heavy footsteps.

"Babe you're home early" Ava spoke from outside the door.

"Couldn't wait to see our guests" the deep and sinister manly voice spoke.

Then Ava appeared back in the room and the male figure entered with Leia hanging off his shoulder. He was extremely tall and had tattoos covered all across his arms with the most cynical look on his face.

It was uncomfortable as he stared down at the both of us with the a smirk.

Shawn immediately stood up and I looked up confused.

"Luciano you're alive" Shawn breathes out in slight fear...
