My excitement had turned into fear. I was scared. The police sirens are fading as I walk to the car. One of the officers tuck my head first into the car. He closes the door and I look out at the window. My mother looks scared and furious. I try to think what I can do, but there isn't any hope. Whoever planned this, thought it through. My heart was pounding. As I sat in the car, half of the town saw me.

The police station is out of town, so we had a while to drive. I still couldn't believe it. I was arrested... That would go onto my record. I looked out of the window and saw that there were 15 kilometers left. We were in the middle of nowhere. We got there and I was let out of the car. We went inside and I was put in a cell, but only for the night.

My first hearing would be tomorrow. It was getting late and I got sleepy. As soon as I closed my eyes, the next day arrived. My hearing was today and I'm hoping that I'm not guilty, because I did NOT kill David. I was let out and I got changed into formal clothes that my mother's lawyer got me. We went to the court and my mother was there. "Mom, you don't believe that I did this, do you?" She just.. stared at me. "With everything you've done before, I don't know what to believe."

We went inside and everyone got seated. The judge spoke and when it was my turn to speak, I was hoping that they didn't find out about the incident from 7th Grade. "Do you swear to tell nothing but the truth?" "I swear."
"Noah, we have a witness that saw David with you right before he was murdered. Is that true?" "Yes, that's true." " And what did you guys talk about?" "He invited my mother to a Women's Day at the church. Then he left afterwards." "So, he didn't say anything to you... that might have triggered you to kill him?" "No! We didn't even talk..." I felt guilty already after lying to the court. The hearing went on for about an hour and of course they brought up the incident.

We waited outside for the final decision. I was shaking and had nerves in my stomach. We were allowed back inside. We had to stay standing. "We have come to a decision. We find the victim, Noah Miller.... Guilty for first degree murder." I couldn't believe it. My mind lost itself. Tears started to full my eyes. They cuffed me and before I left, I barely had a chance to say goodbye to my mother and sister who's hearts were broken. They put me inside of a van with other inmates. Inmates... I can't believe I'm sitting here. I was supposed to live my life. But now... I would never be able to see the fun in life ever again. We drove to the Hazard County Juvie. It was 30 kilometers away from Hazardville. I was sitting and thinking about all the things I'll miss out on and all the things that I'll never see again.

I rested my head against the window and closed my eyes. Going through all of my memories, I start to release my tears. Silently. It was all coming to an end now. My life has been...

"HOLD ON!"

I hear a loud bang against the van and suddenly my head was spinning, but it was actually the van tipping. Everyone was screaming and the van rolled off of the hill and just like that. My happy life, my messed up life, all... Gone. The whole van bursted out into flames and all of our lives... Were taken.

"We have come to a decision. We find the victim, Noah Miller.... Guilty for first degree murder." This was impossible. My own brother? A.. killer? My tears came out of my eyes like rivers. We barely had a chance to say goodbye.

We went home and.. just sat there. "I'm just... going to take a very long bath." I went upstairs and filled the tub with hot water and foam. All I could think about was my innocent brother sitting in juvie, suffering. What would the people in school think? In town?

I calmed myself and closed my eyes. Minutes later my mom came inside, without knocking. " Gabby, GET THE HELL OUT AND GET DRESSED!" " Mom, what's going on?" "The van exploded! HURRY!" Once again, I started to sob, but worse. My brother, he might be dead. I changed as fast as I could and we got into the car and went to the accident.

When we got there, the van wasn't visible. When we looked down the hill, we saw it. Burning. I just couldn't anymore. I couldn't believe it. I just couldn't. I was starting to think that it wasn't an accident. How could the van get on the other side of the road with six officers inside? This just didn't make sense. I kept my suspicion to myself. I asked one of the officers if they found all the bodies. Nun of the bodies were found..... Could it even be possible? I just tried to keep calm.

I went down to the van after the fire cooled down. They only found a hand. They took it for evidence. "Do you think that they could have escaped?" "No, honey. They burned into ashes. Look, here are all the ashes." I didn't give up on hope. We drove home in my mother's sobbing session. I told her what I thought and she agreed.

We got home and waited for the best. For Noah to show up. But that didn't happen. We went to sleep and took shifts. My mother took the first shift because I had to go to school tomorrow. The day came for everyone to look at me and feel pity for me or feel absolutely nothing. And that's what happened. I got irritated about it. I went to Noah's teacher and told her what happen. She cried, but also tried to help me. I told her what I thought, but I could see in her eyes that she didn't believe me. And that was fine, because I didn't care if anyone believed me.

Today was the last day of school and Summer finally started. That meant that I had plenty of time to investigate. I was really hoping that I was right. I started by going to the hill and searching for any footsteps maybe. The van was gone, but I kept on going. I searched for almost 4 hours and found nothing. I was staring to lose hope.  I went home and took a shower. I ate and went to sleep. I dreamt that he was okay and he was safe. I only wished that my dreams were real. Some of them.

I wake up and take a walk with Landy. We to the park and sit down on the bench. It's only me in the park, because it's 5:30AM. I walk to my boyfriends house, Smith. He cheers me up by taking me to a fancy restaurant for breakfast. After, we head back home and watch Netflix.

It's cold. My frigid body inside a cave. Looking around, I spot one of them. "Run!" I whisper. We try to look for a hiding spot. We're only two that made it. We exit the cave and silently run towards some trees. We climb them and wait  for them to pass the searching zone. Officers have been looking for us for about 3 days now. We jump off and look around. "We good, Noah?"
