When time stops

Chapter nine

The group decided to walk threw the town knowing how long it would take for the zombie's to invade from the nearby city, as they were walking they all noticed that they were having a huge sale in the street, they walked threw a bunch of people walking around to check everything out in tiny booths, Evin glanced over when something caught his eye's from the sun light hitting something shinny, curious he walked over to the small booth and saw the red blade sitting on the table, it picked it up seeing a bat symbol on the handle , he saw it opened up at both end's, one of the end's being open already, he then turned it over seeing the price, he looked around knowing he didn't have the money but saw that the shop keeper was busy so he just casually put it into his pocket and turned entering the slightly crowded area.

When he did he noticed that his friends had gone ''Jean?'' he called out and spun around not seeing them anywhere ''Jean?'' he moved to the side and tired looking around some more but sighed not seeing them anywhere, he turned around seeing he was on the sidewalk near the road and looked both way's being turned around ''Damn it.'' he looked around seeing someone walking not far away from him, but Evin could tell something was wrong with the way he walked. He slowly started walking over to this character and herd the groans and hid as they turned around, he was leaned against a brick wall and decided to pull his knife out opening one side, he turned the corner seeing he got closer, Evin rolled out of the way and wanted to make sure he was about to kill on of the dead, he saw their eye's empty and dead.

His stress lowered and he waited for it to be close enough before stabbing it in the head, letting it drop to the ground, he smiled feeling successful at killing one of the dead, but he turned around smelling something horrible, that's when he saw more, maybe ten coming over a small hill, he looked to the side seeing that someone had headphone's in while he was locking up his store from the outside, Evin ran over and tapped his shoulder, he spun around and looked at Evin who pulled his headphone's out ''Get inside.'' he said, the guy looked at him confused then looked to the side hearing them and saw them, he grabbed Evin's hand and pulled him inside the store shutting the door fast as one ran at them.

Jean smiled seeing the police station and lead them over, he turned around glancing at everyone and the building's around him but stopped turning around looking at everyone ''Where's Evin?'' he asked, they looked around while Georgia just stood there ''He stopped at a shop back there.'' Jean looked at her ''And you didn't say anything?'' Georgia just shrugged and Nathan rolled his eye's ''We need to go back.'' Jean said looking at them seeing they all agreed but Georgia protested ''He'll be fine, plus the station is right there, we'll just go there then go get him, it's a waist of time to head back now.'' Amanda looked at her hearing her words.

''It's not a waist.'' Jean argued ''Yeah actually, it is, we are this close to warning a town about the dead invading-'' Georgia was cut off by a scream from behind them, they looked over seeing all the people running, scattering everywhere, Jean looked around seeing a building that had it's door's open ''There.'' he said and they ran over, Tori turned hearing someone crying and saw someone being grabbed by a zombie, they looked to be a little kid, she looked around before grabbing a hockey stick in a basket and ran over, Nathan turned around seeing her going over ''Tori!'' Jean stopped looking back while the other's ran inside, Tori ran over and swung hitting the zombie in the head, she then dropped it helping the kid up, once the kid was standing she ran off, Tori got up and turned screaming as two more zombie's grabbed her.

Jean ran over grabbing Nathan who was heading over and pulled him into the store shutting the door's backing away seeing it was glass doors, he turned seeing everyone in this said store that they were seeking shelter ''What's going on?'' the store keeper asked walking over, Jean looked down at her ''Um.'' he just started at her, Georgia rolled her eye's ''The dead are roaming the streets.'' she simply said making them all look over at her Jean sighed and looked to Jordyn ''We should've brought Monte.'' he said and looked out to where Tori use to be.
