Chapter twelve

Monte stared down at John while he was asleep in a bedroom at the end of a hall, Monte sighed and leaned back on the dresser crossing his arm's over his chest, he herd someone coming down the hall and glanced over seeing John's uncle ''It's here.'' Monte followed him out of the room and they turned the T'v up so they could hear the news. Monte went over to the window and looked outside not seeing anything wrong ''Do you think it's actually in the town?'' he asked before they herd sirens in the distance passing by them.

They turned around seeing John leaning on a wall, he looked up at them holding his side ''Where is everyone?'' he asked remembering, Monte walked over ''In the town.'' John looked around then saw his aunt and uncle he then turned and headed back at the room, Monte followed him there and helped him back into bed, John froze as pain shot threw his whole side ''Aren't you gonna say hello to them?'' John shook his head pulling the blanket over him ''Why not, their your family?'' John looked at him ''I know their my family, I know they probably helped me, I just, can't talk to them.'' Monte sat on the bed and looked over to the door seeing they weren't coming.

Monte couldn't help but wonder and looked at John ''Why?'' John smiled a bit ''Three years ago my whole family got into a huge fight,'' Monte turned to him fully sitting cross legged, John sat himself up and sighed ''After the fight everyone stopped talking to each other and moved away from everyone, my mother is up in Calgary somewhere, my uncle's and aunt's are scattered around Canada, I think my sister moved to the U.S.'' Monte sighed and looked down ''Sorry to hear that.'' John smiled ''It's fine, I just don't wanna talk to them because I know that fight will come up.'' Monte looked down at the floor.

''Their back!'' Monte looked over then to John ''What dose he mean?'' he asked, Ben came down the hall ''You're friends are back.'' John looked to Monte who stood up and went to the living room, Ben followed while Sophia opened the door for them ''Where is he?'' Evin asked, Monte pointed down the hall and Evin went that way ''We need to get out of here.'' Jean said looking at the them ''Why?'' Monte asked ''There's a horde in the town.'' Carson stated and Monte looked at him ''Who is this?'' he asked and looked past them at Willow ''Two people who will be joining us.'' Jean said and went down the hall, Carson shook Monte's hand.

Willow looked around at the walls looking close at some of the pictures on the wall, Georgia sat down while Jordyn Ashton and Nathan sat across from her ''You're still pissed off?'' the three looked up at him ''You killed someone, we should kick you out of the house.'' Monte walked over and looked at her ''You killed someone?'' Georgia looked at him ''No.'' Carson set down the duffle bag of guns and sat down in an extra seat. Willow looked around before walking over and stood beside them ''Amanda got grabbed and you left her to die.'' Monte looked back to Georgia not believing it.

John shook his head ''How are we gonna leave?'' John asked, Jean looked to Evin who was smiling ''Train?'' John looked at him then nodded ''Yeah, but how are we gonna get to the station?'' Jean looked at him ''We still have the cars.'' John nodded ''Alright, what time is it?'' Jean pulled out his phone ''7:00.'' John nodded ''I'm assuming pm so, we'll stay here over night and go in the morning.'' Jean nodded and got up ''I'll go inform the others.'' Jean said walking out, Evin smiled at John ''What?'' Evin got up on the bed sitting ''Nothing.'' John narrowed his eye's ''Tell me.'' Evin looked at him ''You like Monte?'' John shrugged ''He's ok.'' Evin smiled at him ''Oh, you mean do I like, like him.'' he said sitting up.

John thought for a bit before answering ''I mean, if he was to do something I wouldn't reject it.'' Evin smiled ''Saw the way you looked at him.'' John rolled his eye's slightly and looked down. Monte peeked into the room seeing they didn't notice him, he smiled and walked back to the living room ''Didn't you say there were two new people with us now?'' John asked, Evin nodded ''Carson and I think her name is Willow?'' he guessed ''How are they?'' Evin shrugged ''Not sure about Willow, but Carson is very prepared.'' Evin explained, John was a bit confused ''Tell me about Carson.'' Evin smiled looking down ''He had a shop that had many small animal heads on shelves and he already had a bag full of supplies, he said he had been waiting for this and-'' he stopped himself and looked at John, before tossing a pillow at him, John giggled.
