Chapter fourteen

They went to the top and looked around seeing the massive mess of luggage and pan flips ''Jesus what happened here?'' Georgia asked to nobody, John walked over opening a suitcase and dug threw it ''What are you looking for?'' Jean asked, depression evident in his voice ''Medicine.'' he said then grabbed his side ''Advil or something.'' he added and moved to the next suitcase, Monte went to a far one and Jean decided to help, Carson went to two glass door's and looked through before opening the doors, he turned around hearing something and started walking over, it was a staircase but on each side it lead down into darkness, broken window's shinned the sun inside showing the trains, Carson could see no working train's down there so he turned and headed back up, he then looked to the side while he was walking and saw a broken window leading down above the tracks.

His mind wondered to how it broke ''Found some.'' he turned around hearing Nathan speak and saw him go across with a bottle of ibuprofen, he started walking again down the side, Ashton and Jordyn walked over and looked that way before following him, Ash stopped and looked to them before looking past them ''Guys!'' they turned just as a zombie ran at them, Monte ran over to Ash and looked back while Nathan ran past them down the stairs, John got up and ran threw with John, they ran to the stairs, there was another broken window leading into a large train room, a zombie ran over knocking into Georgia knocking her over, John stopped looking back.

He ran over not knowing who fell, he grabbed a broken piece of glass and jabbed it into it's head then looked down seeing who it was ''Help me up!'' she yelled, John looked down the hall then down at her ''John come on.'' John froze looking down the hall thinking about Amanda's death that Jean told him about ''Some leader you are.'' John looked down at her ''Can't even keep your friends alive.'' she added and John stepped on her finger's making her scream, John leaned down and looked at her ''Long live the queen.'' he said before grabbing her hand and let her fall. John stood up and ran to the stairs. He ran down holding his side and saw they got a train running.

They all jumped onto one and John shut the door as they left the station, they went to the front and Monte grabbed a map seeing the route ''This lead's into the U.S.'' he stated and looked back at them ''Good, maybe there's a better safe zone out there.'' he said and sat down feeling his side burning. Nathan and Ashton sat down Jordyn walked over to the window and looked at the tree's passing ''Where in the U.S.?'' she asked looking back at them, Monte looked at the map again ''Near Los Angeles.'' Jordyn nodded ''Always wanted to go there.'' Ash said trying to make the stress in the cabin.

Monte sighed ''I'm gonna go check out the rest of the carts.'' he said and got an idea ''John come with me.'' he whispered when he passed by him and walked into the other carts, John got up and followed him out. Ash leaned back while Jean tapped his foot on the ground when he was sitting in a chair ''This is bullshit.'' Jordyn commented turning to them ''You think we can't tell?'' Nathan asked, she sighed and sat down, Carson went into the front of the train and pulled out the neckless Evin was eyeing before.

Monte lead John into one of the room's that they passed to look inside, John reached up hissing as pain sprung threw his whole side, Monte turned to make sure he was ok and John turned looking up at him and Monte sighed out a bit ''If I did something what would your reaction be?'' John narrowed his eye's a bit ''Depends on what that something is.'' Monte stared him in the eye's before leaning forward shutting his eye's connecting their lip's, John's eye's widened at first but he slowly kissed him back.

''I mean what are we supposed to do now?'' Jordan asked looking over at them ''Live.'' Carson said entering again just in time to hear her ask, they looked to him ''We live so that everyone's death wasn't for nothing.'' Carson stated looking at them all ''I've only met you guy's and I can tell that you've lost a lot of people.'' he said looking at them ''I met Evin and I thought that I would be safe, I am, wanna know why?'' he asked looking to them seeing they didn't know the answer ''Because we survived, sure the other's didn't be we did.'' Ash sighed and leaned back in his chair.

The kiss got heated while John pushed Monte back onto the bed behind him, Monte pulled John's shirt over his head and they stopped, Monte looked at John's chest seeing two scars under his pecks, he then looked up at John who bit his lip ''Does that change things?'' he asked a bit scared, Monte just smiled and pulled him down connecting their lip's again ''No, that doesn't change a thing.'' he said and flipped them over now being on top.
