Chapter fifteen

Monte and John joined the others again with two boxes of food and water ''There are more boxes near the back of the train.'' Monte explained while they set the boxes down, Jordyn grabbed a water from the box and sat down again taking a sip, John sat with Ashton while Nathan laid sleeping beside him ''Where were you two?'' he asked, John looked at him and smiled looking to the ground before leaning back ''Talking.'' Ash smiled and looked over to Monte who was looking down at the map. Monte nodded grabbing a marker not saying much, he then looked to the box ''We might need to stop somewhere, if there is a way to stop this train.'' he stated and looked over to them.

''I don't think we'll need to there was enough food back there to last a year.'' Monte nodded and looked down at the map ''I meant for other supplies like weapons and maybe warm clothes, I think we'll need some if winter roll's around.'' Jean looked down at the map seeing where Monte circled ''There are going to be more people like that out there and we don't have any gun's or other weapons and that's not a good thing.'' Jordyn was a bit confused ''You have a gun.'' Monte nodded ''There are maybe three bullet's left.'' he said and stood up from the table after leaning on it ''Once we find a way to stop the train we can stop a while outside LA and there's a shop that sell's different things.'' John looked over to Jordyn ''I thing we should leave someone on the train while we go into that city.'' John mentioned, Nathan sat up yawning and looked at them all ''I could stay.'' Ash stated looking at them ''I think you should stay.'' John looked to Monte.

''You're injured, and your the leader.'' John stood up ''I'm the leader, I should go.'' Jordyn looked at them ''I could stay.'' Carson sighed staying quiet the whole time ''Let Jordyn stay, we'll head into the city and if anything happens Jordyn can alert us.'' John looked from Carson over to Jordyn ''I can, I'll find something that make's a lot of noise and if something happens like zombie's coming over here or people entering the city I'll alert you.'' Jordyn stated and John sighed looking at Monte who smiled ''How far away is it?'' Jean looked down at the map trailing the railway to where Monte circled ''About five days away?'' he estimated and John nodded ''Alright, when we get near there we'll try stopping it, if this doesn't stop we don't go.'' he stated they nodded understanding.

John then walked out of that cabin into the other ones, Jordyn and Monte followed him, Carson stood up and turned to the control system to see if there was a button clearly saying how to stop it. Ashton walked over to help ''Can't make thing's easy can they?'' Ash smiled ''Nope, because why would they.'' he said crouching down to read something on a handle. Jordyn caught up with him ''Were did you find the supplies?'' she asked and John pointed down the hall, Jordyn smiled and went that way while Monte got to John, he looked both way's before looking down at him ''Y'know we don't have to hide whatever this is right?'' Monte nodded ''Yeah, I know, but if you really thought that you wouldn't of said we were talking all night.'' he said and kissed John's forehead before walking away.

John caught up with him and stopped him from walking ''What are we?'' he asked, Monte smiled and held his hand's in front of him ''What would you like us to be?'' John smiled ''Could we be a couple?'' he asked cautiously, Monte smiled ''Yes.'' John smiled and hugged him, Monte smiled before they looked to the side pulling away as Jordyn came back to them ''Fire crackers, think you guy's will hear it?'' John and Monte nodded ''Yeah, that's great.'' Jordyn smiled ''I leave you guy's.'' she said smiling as she walked away back towards the others, John looked at Monte ''You did wanna hide this.'' Monte spoke and John sighed ''I don't know what your talking about.'' he said as they went to join the others.

They got in there and Carson smiled looking over to them ''We found out how to slow the train to a stop.'' John smiled looking over to Ash showing Jordyn how to in fact stop it ''It's five day's from where we are so we can relax until then.'' Carson nodded and went to his spot sitting against the wall, Jean stared at the map while Monte went over to Ashton and Jordyn, John walked over to Jean ''What?'' he asked seeing that look on his face ''I don't think we should leave this train.'' he stated and looked up at John who seemed to be fine with all this ''It'll be fine, you wanna keep everyone safe right?'' Jean rolled his eye's and looked at him seeing John had an eye brow raised, he sighed and nodded, John then sat down to look at the map.
