Chapter 29

Victoria POV

It was starting to get dark but Valencia and Zayd still hasn't arrived home yet. Jaxxon had been pacing all day after Asher had mentioned James coming over during the morning.

Valencia hasn't been replying to my calls and texts either. Jaxxon rushes into our bedroom.

"Where are they?" He says with a worried expression.

"She'll be fine. Valencia isn't weak and neither is Zayd." I say wrapping my arms around him comfortingly. He relaxes into my arms and nods against my neck.

"We'll just have to make up a lie for them and go to the dinner with the others." I say pulling away and walking over to my closet.

"Which one?" I ask holding out a red and olive green dress.

"The red one is easier to pull off." Jaxxon says with a smirk.

"Ok, I'll wear the olive green dress then." I say rolling my eyes as I start to pull it on. Jaxxon sits in front of his closet with a puzzled look.

"I'll help you big baby." I laugh as I kiss the top of his head.

"Wear this suit. You know how my mom is." I say showing him a black suit and look for an olive green tie. He nods his head approvingly and grabs the suit.

Knocking on the door nervously, I await my mothers freshly caked face. Jaxxon wraps his fingers around mine calming me down a little. Asher gags immaturely at the gesture while Jisoo and Bennett stand stiffly beside him. How should I mention her twin sister tried to kill Valencia? My thoughts were interrupted when my father opened the door with a stern face.

"Hello Victoria." He says with an uninterested tone.

I felt like snapping at him when Jaxxon reaches out to shake his hand followed by the others.

"Don't lash out please." He mutters with pleading eyes as I nod. Well, let's just hope today will go by smoothly.

Hours go by with unnecessary conversation and my Father's men coming in multiple times. The food was still untouched and I was slowly growing irritated.

"So, Where is Valencia and Zayd? I made dinner plans with them, not you." My mother asks.

"They both caught something." I answer with clenched fists ignoring her harsh comment.

"Can I ask you a question, Mother?"

"Of course." She answers taking a sip of her overpriced wine.

"Vivianne Verratti?" I ask as my mother and fathers face pales.

"Did she try to hurt you?" My mother suddenly asks.

"She tried to kill me. Mother." Says Valencia from behind.

We all turn to see Valencia and Zayd. Their hair were both messed up and they had blood on both their shirts.

"Damn, what did you guys do?" Jaxxon asks with a smirk making my parents both shoot him a glare.

"Let's just say we won't have to worry about Petterson anymore." Valencia says making Jaxxon gasp.

"You both killed him!" Jaxxon shouts.

"Yes." They answer in inusion.

"Well, great job kids. I think it's better for you guys to stay here for the next few weeks, though." He says making Jisoo send him a shocked look.

"Why?" I asked.

"You killed a mafia leader. Of course his men will be after you." My father explains.

"Just go upstairs and clean up, Valencia." My mother says.

"Do not try to change the subject. Mother." Valencia says through gritted teeth.

My parents exchanged worried expressions before my dad nods.

"A while ago.. Before I married your mother. I was with her twin sister, Vivianne. However, she was very possessive and controlling and her being skitsofrenic didn't help. I wasn't very interested anymore and was only with her for so long because of her looks."

"So you hooked up with her twin sister?" Jaxxon asks laughing making my father send him an Icy glare.

"I ended things with her, but she took it very badly. My family took it very badly too since I was supposed to marry her to strengthen both businesses. I didn't know Vivianne had a twin sister because she was very insecure about herself and our relationship, thinking I would leave her if I met your mother since she was better than her." He says sending my mom a wink causing us to gag.

"Dad that's really messed up." Valencia says causing my mother to lower her head.

"I met your mother and she was the complete opposite. She was Kind hearted and was more capable of being by my side as I ruled the mafia and raising our children. I fell in love with her instead. Vivianne however-" He starts to say before my mother cuts him off.

"I think I should explain." She says as my father sends her an approving nod.

"She didn't take our engagement well. She was still stuck up on your father, and vowed that one day she'll kill or hurt one of our children."

"And you never tried to tell us! You probably haven't even noticed Victoria missing!" Valencia shouts

My mother opens her mouth to say something but quickly closes it. Valencia grabs Zayd's arm and marches upstairs with him trailing behind her.

"Damn. Mr. Moretti you got chicks." Jaxxon says and I nudge him.

"Duty calls. I have to figure this thing out with Petterson." My father says standing up.

"Wait dad, Where is Violetta!" I ask.

"She left a few weeks ago, needed some privacy. We call her everyday, she is fine. She'll come sometime this week." He says before leaving the room.

I looked down at the cold, untouched food of everyone's plates. Jisoo, Bennet and Asher sat beside my mother looking very uncomfortable. This dinner was a disaster and I needed to leave.

"Mom. Do you need help cleaning?"

"No, its fine I could just ask one of the maids." My mother says ushering us away.

I motion for Jaxxon and the others to follow me up the stairs as we make it up to Valencia's bedroom.

"Who's Violetta?" Asher asks with a smirk.

"My 16 year old sister. Why?"

"I can't ask? Damn."

"Yes, you can. You just asked it in a weird way." I answer.

"I agree." Jisoo replies.

"Whatever." Asher mutters and walks ahead of us and stops at the end of the hall.

"What is it now, Asher?" I say with an irritated tone.

I walk up behind him and roll my eyes. He was staring at our family picture. Most specifically at Violetta. Don't say it, Asher. Please don't.

"Damn, she's hot." He says.

I knew it. I drag him away from the photo as we make our way to Valencia's room. We open the door to see Valencia sleeping on Zayd's chest as he stroked her hair.

"Zayd's in love." Jaxxon teases as we all laugh while sitting on the couch, causing Valencia to wake up.

"Oh shut it, Jaxxon." Valencia says with a laugh.

"I am, though." Zayd says looking down at her as Valencia's eyes widen at him and Jisoo squeals.

"I knew it! I knew it!" Jisoo shouts.
