Zayd POV

Anger rushes through me, as I drove increasing the speed. I didn't want to bring Valencia into this, also not wanting her to see this side of me. The business deal that I've been working on for months had failed; the money was gone.

Rushing into my driveway, I yell for my men to my office as they all hurriedly rush in with worried looks on their face. Shouting at them, they lower their heads to the ground. One of my men shouts my name from another office, walking over to him.

"Sir, I found the man."

"Bring him in. Now." I say in a harsh voice, as they rush out the door.

Walking over to my bedroom, I open my gun safe and grab one loading it. As I return to the office setting it on my desk, I lean against the chair and wait. An hour later, a frightened middle-aged man is harshly thrown into my office. I stand with a wicked grin on my face, he begs for mercy as tears rolling down his face.

Valencia POV

Immediately lifting my head up from the pillow, I reach over and grab my phone seeing a text message from Gabriella. I stare at my phone, thinking if I should open it or not. I decide to put my phone away not wanting to see her reply and get dressed. I had a sudden need to see Zayd.

Running down the stairs, I grab Victoria's keys and step into her car. Driving down the dim road, music softly releases from the radio as I turn it on. Arriving at Zayd's house, I use the spare key Zayd had given me earlier and open the door.

Walking inside, I hear loud noises coming from Zayd's office. I open the door stupidly to see Zayd watching as his men continue to torture the bloody man. Walking into the room, I take a seat on a chair as Zayd gapes at me wide-eyed.

"Carry on." I say, pulling out my phone.

The man's pleading immediately stops when he sees Zayd grab his gun, and he shoots him directly between the eyes. He still has a surprised look but quickly regains himself.

"Didn't expect that reaction from you." He says, crossing his arms with a smirk.

"No worries, I've walked in so many times from my father doing this. So, I'm used to it and besides I want to take the leadership after him."

He nods, then motions his men to carry the dead body out the door.

He sits by me and throws his gun on the side of the table. I look down with a sad look, I thought, I want to take over my father's lead, but my parents think a "woman" shouldn't be relied on as a leader. Zayd enterlaces his fingers through mine, pulling me up.

"Let's go to bed." He says, as I agree and nod.

"I'm exhausted." I add as he leads me to his bedroom. I look around noticing that his room was colorless, I watch as he grabs a pair of shorts mumbling that he's going to take a shower. I lay on his bed drifting off to sleep, the last thing I hear is the shower running as darkness takes over.

Zayd POV

Waters runs down my face, grabbing my shorts I pulled them on. Combing my hair, as a towel hangs freely on my shoulders. I freeze, as I thought "Why did Valencia come over, was there something she wanted to tell me?" I instantly open the door, to see her asleep, hair splattered on my pillow as she softly snores. Ignoring my thoughts, I chuckle and grab an extra blanket covering her with it. I grab my phone when I hear a message notification.

Message from Jaxxon: "You still awake?"

"Yeah, what's up?"

"Heard about the deal, your father's pissed about it. Got any plans?"

"Found out who took the money, dealt with him. Still didn't figure out where the money went though. Valencia's here."

"Valencia?"

"Yeah she came over."

"You mean she saw you "deal" with the man?"

"Yes."

"Wow, and she still slept over."

"Yeah, apparently she's walked in on her father doing the same numerous times."

"Damn, I wonder if Victoria's the same."

I sigh, rolling my eyes "I'm gonna sleep. Later."

Not bothering to see his reply, I set my phone down on the table. Turning my head, Valencia's phone catches my eye. I grab it to place it near my phone, when I see a notification from Gabriella. Furrowing my brows, I place her phone on the table deciding to ask her in the morning.
