Zayd POV

Sitting on my desk chair, I stare at the blank computer and piece everything together. What if I send my men to where she was last seen in Tokyo, and try to track her signal a month ago before it was cut off? What if she was hiding from someone? Could she actually be alive? Thoughts consumed my head, as I tried to shut them down. Pinching my brows, I needed to make sure she really was dead and if Victoria was involved.

Tensing, I mumble "Why do I even care about this girl?"

"I should be relieved that she's dead, otherwise I would've been stuck in an arranged marriage." I mutter.

Closing my thoughts, I decide to just get this over with and stop thinking about some supposed dead girl. However, my curiosity gets the best of me and I open my computer and buy a ticket leaving early morning to Tokyo, Japan. Making sure, that I leave discreetly without my father knowing. I shut my laptop and go straight to bed as the thoughts of her occupy my head.

*Next Morning*

Waking up earlier than expected, I brush my teeth and shower. I quickly but quietly pack a few of my clothes and necessities and hop into my black Ferrari and drive off. Arriving at the airport, I receive a call from my father but ignore it. Sitting in the waiting room for 30 minutes, I wait for my flight to board. After my flight is announced, I get up and walk to the terminal. I was a little confused, not knowing to what to do since I've always traveled in my private jet.

Sitting by the window, thoughts about Valencia filled my head.
"Get it together, Zayd!" I thought.

Leaning against the window, I shut my eyes and fall asleep. Waking up to the flight landing, I grab my suitcase and leave. As I wait for my uber, I receive a call from Jaxxon.

"Shit. I didn't tell him about Valencia." I thought, as I answered.

*Phone call with Jaxxon*

"Hey Jaxx" I say.

"Yo Zayd, we were supposed to meet at the gym. Where are you?" He asks.

"Boarding a plane to Japan." I deadpan.

"Hilarious man, you're funny. We all know you fly private." He jokingly says.

"No. I'm serious, I came to see Valencia." I said.

"Valencia? That dead girl? Dude you're out of your mind." He replies in a serious tone.

I hang up without answering, as my uber arrives, I step in.

"Hello. Im Jisoo." My uber driver says.

"Zayd." I reply and return my attention back to my phone.

She gasps after I mention my name and as I look up he immediately withdraws her eyes and begins driving.

"So what are you doing here in Japan?" She casually asks.

"Here to visit someone." I say in a short answer.

She nods, looking away and goes back to her driving.

Jisoo POV

My first thought that comes to my mind when he says his name was, "Oh my God, this is the guy Valencia was supposed to marry." I quickly drive through the roads of Tokyo, hoping time can go by faster. When reaching the hotel, he grabs his suitcase mumbling a quick "thanks" as he leaves.

I watch him enter the hotel and write down the hotel name and quickly drive off. Driving to Valencia's place, I barge in running out of breath as I find Valencia widening her eyes at my appearance.

"He's here, Val. He's actually here." I say panting.

"Who? Who's here?" She shouts getting up.

"Zayd!.. I was doing uber and he was one of my customers." I say.

"You drive uber? I thought you were a private investigator?" She asks, her face confused.

"Side job. Work has been slow lately." I explain.

I tell her everything that happened earlier, as she just listens with a worried expression.

"He won't find us, but we'll have to be careful when going out." I clarify.

"Well, we should probably go out on a run because you really need to get in shape if you were that out of breath." Valencia laughs.

Laughing with her, we changed into workout attire and head out.

Zayd POV

While unpacking my suitcase, my stomach growls. Searching for fast food places near me, I find a sushi bar. Grabbing my wallet and phone, I head out. As I walked down the street, I hear laughing behind me. Trying to ignore them, I changed direction to the other side of the walkway.

"I can't believe Zayd is actually in Tokyo." I hear .

Not turning my head, I kept walking with short distance between them. As they jog past me, I lower my hood and see my uber driver along with a brunette. I halt to a stop, as I think "Wait, I know that familiar dark hair..." My eyes widen in shock as I realize who it was, Valencia. She's actually alive. I froze, not expecting to see an alleged dead person actually alive. "What if she's hiding from someone? Why is she faking her death? And how does she know my name?"

I pretend to talk on my phone, and follow where they wander off to. Although, I felt like a creep.
