My Best friend: Riker Lynch

Chapter 9

I giggled at Riker straightening out pillows, blankets, and popcorn making sure that everything was perfectly straight

"What? I want to make sure everything's perfect!"

I laughed again

"I know you do"

He sat down and patted the empty spot on the couch next to him. I smiled and sat down. Then he hit play and put his arm around me. I looked up at him

"Oh uh is this....ok?"

"Yea it's fine"

"Okay just making sure"

I smiled and started to watch the movie.

We were about 30 minutes into the movie and we were barely paying attention I have no idea what has even happened so far. Riker and I were both so focused on our popcorn competitions like who catch as many pieces in their mouth and who can hold as much popcorn in their mouth at a time.

"Do you even know what's happening" riker asked unable to keep himself from laughing

"Yea no"

"Amanda!"

"What?! You keep distracting me!"

I said throwing a pillow at him

"Ow! Hey!"

Next I knew Riker threw a giant handful of popcorn at me

"Hey! Riker you jerk it's in my hair! and down my shirt!'

He laughed like crazy

"You mean my shirt!"

"Ugh whatever"

"Fine do me a favor and actually start to watch the movie"

"Fine as long as you don't distract me"

"Touché"

Riker put his arm back around me and I got all tingly. I keep thinking about what happened at the hospital, I actually thought it was gonna go somewhere. but I guess I was wrong. it feels so right being close to him. I wish I could be his.

It was about halfway through the movie and I started getting really tired, I was trying to stay awake, but my eyelids started feeling heavier by the second. I decided to lay my head on Riker's chest and closed my eyes.

Riker's POV

We were halfway through the movie, and man I was getting tired. Amanda must've been too cause she laid her head on my chest, and closed her eyes. She looks so beautiful when she's sleeping its unbelievable. I was she could be mine. I thought after what happened in the hospital things were gonna be different, but I guess not.

By now the movie was over and I was exhausted, but Amanda was still asleep. should I bring her home? HA. no. I'm not gonna bring her home to her douche of a father. he will kill her for being out so late. whatever she'll just stay over.

I wrapped a blanket around her and carried her upstairs bridal style. luckily rocky left to go to a sleepover so our room was empty I put her down in my bed and took off my shirt and pants (I have boxers on) and crawled into bed next to her. I kissed her forehead and whispered in her ear

"Goodnight Amanda"

Amanda's POV

I woke up and the clock said 4:30 eh whatever must've woken up by mistake. until I realized someone's arms were around me, I turned my head and realized it was Riker! oh my god I'm in bed with Riker! he must have carried me up after the movie. uh oh he's waking up.

"Good morning beautiful"

"What?"

"Oh um did I just say that out loud"

"Uh yea"

"Uh sorry um this is awkward"

"Don't worry it's ok. can we go back to sleep its 4:30 am"

"Yea sure"
