It was now 12 at night and I still couldn't fall asleep. I was in bed with Riker and his arms were wrapped around me and I'm pretty sure he was asleep I turned my head so I could see Riker he was asleep. So I put my head back down.
"Amanda?"
I turned my head
"Why are you still awake?" He asked slitely chuckling
"I just can't sleep" I said chuckling back which instantly turned back into a frown.
"Babe, don't let it get to you ok? Look I know that it's hard and I know that I really have no idea what it feels like, but just hear me out."
I nodded
"Maybe your dad having Sheila around will be a good thing you know? She can cook and clean and do everything your dad hasn't had time to."
"Like a m-mother?"
"Yea!"
"No!"
"What? Amanda?"
"I don't want her to be my mom I don't want another mom!"
I was now screaming probably waking the whole house.
"What's going on?" Rydel asked
"Nothing" Riker spat out
Riker's POV
Amanda's face was in the pillow and I think she was crying. I tried to rub her back but she flinched away.
"Amanda please."
She didn't respond. Rydel came to the other side of me whispering in my ear
"What the hell did you do! How did you screw this up this time!"
"I didn't I just said that Sheila could be like a mom to her."
By now everyone knew about Sheila.
Rydel's mouth dropped
"You did what?"
"What?"
"Riker you can't say that to someone who's lost their mother! You can't just replace your parents!"
"Jesus Rydel calm down I didn't know!"
"Just fix it!"
I sighed and bent down towards Amanda and started to kiss her cheek and then up and down her neck, which still had hickeys from earlier.....
