Chapter 8

"Rydel I just-"

"Yea Riker I know he hurt her. He did. But that doesn't mean he can't change! I mean it's her fucking father! Sure he was an alcoholic, but he's sober now! Give him a chance! Did you forget about her mom? and her sister? Their gone! She doesn't have a mother to lay back on! If she can't see her father she's parentless. No one wants or deserves to be like that. Especially Amanda!"

I sighed.

Amanda's POV:

Rydel had taken Riker outside to "talk". More like yelling. I couldn't exactly tell what they were saying, but I know they were yelling, and i'm pretty sure the rest of the hospital knows too.  Riker walked back in shutting the door behind him. I looked up at him as he sat down  next to me. 

" Hey. Listen i'm sorry I yelled at you-"

"Riker it's ok."

"No it's not Amanda its not ok. I mean I guess i'm just nervouse that he's gonna hurt you again ya know? Just after everything he's done I don't want him to hurt you again."

We were looking into each other's eyes, and I could see hurt in his. He really was scared.We both sat silent just staring into each other's eyes which felt like ages, then he started to lean in, so i did too. Our lips crashed, and it felt amazing.

1 week later

Rydel texted me and asked me to come over swimming with the boys, so i figured why not. I put on a black bikini, and threw a tank top and some shorts on, and drove over to the lynch's. The boys were in the front lawn playing football in their swimsuits with their shirts off? Oh well. Riker looked hot anyway so who cared. He saw me and smiled, but then instantly faded he ran over to the car helping me out. 

"Amanda!" 

"Hey"

"What do you think your doing?"

"Um.. What do you mean?"

"I thought you weren't supposed to drive for a month! Why didn't you text me to pick you up?"

"Riker i'm fine, really it's ok i've been driving everywhere."

His eyes widened

"Promise me you'll let me drive you home."

I groaned

"ughhh Fine"

He smiled pulling me inside

"So you have your swimsuit with you?"

"No Riker Rydel invited me over swimming and I didn't bring a swimsuit." 

I said sarcasticly

"Just checking. Hey did you bring a towel by chance?"

He said trying to annoy me

"Shit. no."

he laughed

"It's  fine you can borrow one."

He brought me upstairs into his room grabbing me a towel.

"Aladdin. Niceeeee"

"Haha verryy funny. just accept the towel. and it's not like you didn't completely fall in love with that movie i mean who doesn't"

"Um me"

"What? What did you not like about it?"

"Well I don't know I haven't seen it"

"YOU'VE NEVER SEEN ALADDIN?! Well I know what we're doing on the next rainy day"

we laughed right before he shoved me in the pool.

We were all swimming for hours until we heard thunder and it started pouring. Everyone scrambled out of the pool into the house. Riker was staring at me with a smile on his face.

"What?" I finally asked

"It's Raining" He said jumping up and down

"Oh right it's raining. Aladdin"

"Huh?" Ross asked

"Amanda has never seen Aladdin so I told her on the next rainy day i was trapping her here to watch Aladdin for the first time with me."

"awwwwww" Rydel Shrieked

Riker rolled his eyes and pulled me to the couch both of us still soaking wet. 

"Don't you wanna change?" I asked him

"oh yea right. Here you can borrow something of mine".

He brought me upstairs and gave me sweatpants, a sweatshirt, and some boxers as undewear.

"Um... Thanks"

"What's wrong? Ohhhh"

Thank god he didn't make me say it. Yep I'm almost 100% sure Riker doesn't wear bras.

"Um well You can borrow one of Rydel's i'm sure"

My eyebrows lifted. I didn't want to tell Riker this but, I don't think I can fit into Rydel's bras, I mean they're really small.

"Or you don't have to wear one ya know if you want- I mean I dont mind or anything. Like i really wouldn't care ot anything" He managed to get out, while stuttering it all out. He left so I could get changed. Yep no bra. whatever.

I came down to find Riker setting up for Aladdin. He's so cute.
