Finally, it was Friday. The week had gone by slowly, I had only gone to school and the surprise place for the serpents. I hardly talked to Jughead and friends at all, and I felt like they think I'm ignoring them. But finally, it was over, for the most part at least. Today we were taking everyone to see the place later tonight.
We had stocked up the bar for the celebration, and mom was going to be running the bar while I waited pretty much. Blayze would be with dad in the shop, so we were all here.
As I finished dressing, I pulled my leather jacket on before grabbing my bag and making my way from my room. The large tattoo the went from my belly button to right at the center of my breasts, almost fully on display to the town. My other tattoo on the back of my thigh was as well, more so then usual.
"You two have a good day school!" mom called after Blayze and me as we exited the front door. I climbed on my bike, Blayze doing the same. I heard other bikes, and I turned around to see Sweetpea and Fangs headed over. Jughead had been picking Betty up lately, so assuming he already left.
I circled around and followed behind Fangs as we headed for the road, Blayze close behind me. The ride to the school had become practically nothing over the week happily.
The short drive was still peaceful. When arriving, I noted Jug's bike already here as I parked beside Sweetpea. I looked around Sweets to Fangs as I killed my bike "We didn't have homework, right?" I asked as he climbed off his bike. "I don't think so" he said with a shrug before we made our way into the building.
When getting in class, we were quickly alerted to be proved wrong as our teacher asked for it as we entered the room. "I thought it wasn't due until Monday, so I haven't done it yet" I said with a fake panic "Neither did Fangs, we were going to work on it this weekend" I tell Mr. White, he just sighed before responding. "I want it before the end of the day, both of you" I nodded and took the sheet, as did Fangs and we walked to our desk.
"Nice" Fangs whispered as we sat down, causing me to let out a laugh before pulling out my book and pen.
When I finished, I put my paper in the book, sliding it to Fangs as if he were using the book. The teacher had a slide up on the board, talking about it with the lights out as last-minute students worked on their work.
Fangs slid me the book and I took both of our papers and quickly walked up to his desk, setting them in the tray before returning to the seat.
When the bell rang, I practically ran out of the room to get to history. I was ready to leave the campus early and stop at Pops just before heading home and going to work tonight. I made my way into the class room, setting in the empty seat beside Sweetpea, two serpents in front of him that I didn't know the names of, mostly since we had never spoke.
The closer I had got to Sweetpea, the more my chest pounded in my ears and it was hard to focus. We never really talked, mostly because he gave a half response with everything I say.
We sat in silence, I picked at the sleeve of my leather jacket while we waited on our teacher. After a few minutes, a substitute came in telling us that Misses Johnson wouldn't be in today because her car had broken down. There was an uproar of conversation as she sat at the desk telling us to work on whatever we had for other classes.
That's when I felt something hit me in the face. It caused me to jump a bit before picking it up, it was a sheet of crumpled paper. I slowly opened it to read it,
"ditch the snakes, hang with the dogs"
I furrowed my brows together as I read it two more times, before I looked up to see one of the guys, a few seats away from me, give me a wink. I crumpled the paper back up and sat it on the window seal beside my head before I started to pick at my jacket sleeve more. That's when the empty seat beside me had become preoccupied. My eyes flickered up as I seen it was the same boy who gave me a wink, he was watching my hands.
