Fangs and I were making our way through the hall. I was heading to History and he was heading to study hall, where he was with Toni and most everyone else in the student lounge usually. We said bye to one another as I turned into the class room, noticing Sweetpea instantly as he was still standing up, talking to one of the Northsiders he played basketball with. He gave me a smile as I turned to set behind him, but he grabbed my waist and pulled me in front of him first.

"There you are" "Here I am" I said as I raised my eyebrow at him. "I was just thinking, what if I come over after school" "Well, I was going to the bar, but I guess I'll tell Mom never mind, and we can hang out. But I'm still really bruised up and sore" I mumbled, and he nodded. "We don't have to have sex or anything, I just wanted to hang out with my girlfriend" he said as he pulled me against him. I smiled at him "Your girlfriend huh?" "Are you about to do the same thing you did prom night?" "Nope, but you hadn't mentioned it since" "You're my girlfriend, I think that's been established" I smiled, and he gave me a kiss before the teacher told us to sit down.

I rolled my eyes as I did, moving to set in the empty seat behind Sweetpea. We ended up watching another documentary, that nobody really paid attention to.

After Swords and Serpents, I decided to head straight home. I changed into some of my short shorts and a loose-fitting crop top before there was a knock on the front door. I jogged to open it, revealing Sweetpea, a smile on his face when I opened the door. I moved out of the way for him to come in and we made our way to my room. "Can we take a nap?" I asked while wrapping my arms around his neck. He smiled, wrapping around my back and holding me against him. "We can, let me go to the bathroom. Go get comfortable" he said and I smiled, jumping up to kiss his cheek before going to my vinyl's and started to play music quietly first.

I tossed my bag on the floor and crawled onto the bed as I heard my door close, turning to see Sweetpea kicking his boots and peeling his jacket off. Then, he pushed his jeans off and tossed his shirt on my dresser before making his way over to hop in the bed, only in his boxers and tank top. I smiled and laid beside him, pulling the blanket over us as I put my head against his chest.

When we settled, I could hear his heart right against my ear, causing me to smile as I closed my eyes. Sweetpea's arms were around me, one crossed from under me, around my back and to my opposite hip, and his other hand resting on my thigh after I moved my leg to cross over his legs. The arm under me, was under Sweetpea's arm and holding his arm gently, my other arm on his chest, making little figure eights on his collar bone.

"You know what" I hummed a response, opening my eyes to look up at his face. His eyes fixed on the ceiling, but he looked like he was in thought. "We never talked about the night you got stabbed" I thought for a moment before shrugging "Nothing to talk about it, you guys seen it" "There's a few things to talk about, but one really big one" I knew what he meant, and I sighed while setting up. My leg remained over him, and the other crossed under me. His hands followed my body and he looked to me. My eyes stuck to the dog tags on his neck, as I lightly grabbed them and ran my fingers over the bumps that were words. "I just want to know, what made you do it" I nodded without response as I thought for a minute.

"Adelina, he had a gun to your head for gods sake" I nodded again. "I know, but look I wasn't shot, I'm okay" I said as I ran one of my hands up to place on his cheek. "But what if he would have pulled the trigger when you were screaming at him" "my eyes were locked on his finger, my friend Xavier taught me the trick. It took a long time to get down, but I finally did" "What's this trick?" "Make sure their back is to the one's you don't want hurt, and make sure your eyes don't leave that finger on the trigger. It sounds easier then it is. I got shot with a lot of rubber bullets" I said with a small chuckle.
