Today was Blayze's gauntlet, his last part for initiation, then he was officially a serpent. Hotdog was back home, and it was time.

I stood outside watching as the young serpent boys lined up, my brother at one end and Jughead at the other, Sweetpea and Fangs on his sides. I stood with Toni and my parents, a few serpents were watching but some not. FP had also joined us, holding a serpent jacket in hand. It was well past dark now as well.

My heart pounded as my brother took his first step in, a punch straight in the gut as he doubled over, getting one to the face from the opposite side. There was blow after blow, and when he got to Fangs, he stumbled a bit as he hit him straight across the jaw, turning him to Sweetpea who hit him in the stomach, causing him to stumble back a bit, the ones behind grabbing ahold of him. "Blayze" "What Jughead" "It's nothing personal" he said as he pulled his fist back and hit my brother in the jaw, making him stumble into Sweetpea and another boy, Johnny boy, I think they called him.

My brother had a bloody nose and a split almost directly in the center of his lip. They got my brother stable as Jughead shook his hand, and people crowded around as FP gave my brother his jacket. I felt a hand on my hip, and I looked down at it, quickly recognizing the rings as Sweetpea's, a little bit of blood on his knuckles. I turned to look up to my brother rather, a grin on his face as he put the leather jacket on, my dad clapping him on the back as he let out a laugh.

Everyone started to make their way in, but I was pulled back. Confused, I turned around to confront them, but it was just Sweetpea "Can I help you" I said, as he smiled and pushed me against the wall "Yeah, actually. Could you direct me to your bedroom?" he said as he buried his head in my neck, leaving small kisses. I laughed as I pushed him back a bit "Really smooth, come by later though" I said and he smiled "I'll sneak you in the window" "Now that, is a plan" I rolled my eyes as we made our way into the bar.

I sat at the bar, the bar was loud and packed of course. Mom had given me a beer and a few shots, not enough for intoxication. Though the bar was packed, and I decided to step outside for air. I leaned against the wall, looking around the night Southside streets.

"Well, and who might you be?" I looked to me left, leaning up from the wall as I noticed two guys. "I don't think it's your business" I said with a bored voice. "It is, when you're a pretty girl outside alone. Mostly on the Southside. Didn't your parents tell you about the scary people?" I scoffed, standing up straight, turning to them. "I am the scary people, so how about you and your little friend run off, because I don't need friends to help me" "Are you sure about that" he said cockily, a large grin on his face, just as he did, I felt someone wrap their arms around me. I thrashed in his arms, "Let me go, creep!" I seethed.

"I think you'd be a perfect addition to our gang actually, think we'll take you home and show you the ropes" "I'm already part of a gang" "Oh yeah? Who might that be?" I stopped thrashing, realizing it wouldn't help me out of his arms "Serpents" "Well that's even better, though you'll be much better as a Ghoulie, and once we take you there and mark you up, the serpents surely won't want you back" I glared as I thought for a moment. "You know what? Take me then, take me to the Ghoulies, just one thing first" "What sweetheart?" I bobbed my head forwards before slamming it into the guys nose behind me.

He let out a loud scream as he let me go. "Grab her!" I looked around at them as I bent myself down. As the one who hadn't spoken tried to grab me, I hit him in the face with my forearm, it barely stopped him as he grabbed me though. I let out a scream as he lifted me from the ground by my waist. As the other got closer, he gave me a smirk as he put his hand on my thigh, lightly pushing my skirt up "Are those bruises? If you like it rough baby, just wait until the others get ahold of you" I spit down at him, it hit his vest and glided a bit before I brought my leg up and kicked him straight in the face. He shouted and fell back to his ass, screaming that I was a bitch.
