Cafè AU (Koharu x Asahi)

An adulthood AU where Koharu and Asahi don't know each other. Koharu is a designer for Rainbow Berry Parfait.

Koharu POV

Another morning, another day for work. Today, Rainbow Berry Parfait is having a meeting for the new premium rare dress. The first thing I do every day is go to Shining Stars Cafè. It's a routine. I go there so often that I've become friends with the barista, Kasumi Mahiru.

After I got ready for the day, I drove to Shining Stars Cafè. When I stepped in, I saw Mahiru talking to a boy. She talks to him every day since this boy comes every day, just like me. He has blond hair, radiant purple eyes, and the perfect smile. After the boy got his drink and left, I walked up to Mahiru.

"Ohayo Koharu-chan, regular for you?" Mahiru asked.

"Ohayo Mahiru. Yes please." I said while smiling.

"Soooooo, have you taken an interest in Nii-san?"

"Nii-san?"

"Oh, you know the boy I was talking to before?"

"Oh him!" I blush, "I don't know..."

"You were staring at him from across the cafè."

"Oh, I was? Hehe"

"Anyway here is your Carmel Latte, with the right amount of sugar, and in your favorite cup."

"Ahaha thank you, Mahiru."

"By the way, I haven't seen Yume in a long time."

"She's been searching for a new muse for Rainbow Berry Parfait and designing the last premium rare dress for our current muse. It's kinda stressing her out."

"Ohh, I get it. Being head designer of Romance Kiss isn't exactly the easiest either."

"Have you seen Ako or Laura lately?"

"It seems that they're busy with their brands too. Ako with her acting too."

"Ahh, all of us with our own brands huh?"

"Yup! Anyway, good luck!"

I waved to Mahiru then sat down at my usual spot. The table next to the windows, in front of the piano. The blond haired boy seems to be sitting where he usually sits too. Right across from me, but on the other side of the cafè. The guy seems to be Mahiru's brother, I wonder what his name is.

I pulled out my sketchbook and tablet. I like sketching my designs out on my sketchbook and doing a rough draft, then I transfer it to my tablet, where I do the finished copy fully colored. Currently, I'm working on some designs for Yume and me. We are attending an event soon and we'll need something to wear, why not design our own. In my sketchbook, I'm working on the new premium dress.

Hmmmmm

Should I put a bow here? Or maybe some flowers? Should the dress be pink, blue, or purple?

"Um excuse me," I looked up, there was the blond boy, "Are you Nanakura Koharu? One of the head designers of Rainbow Berry Parfait?"

I nodded, oh no, am I blushing?

"Your designs are amazing!" He smiled brightly, "I'm Kasumi Asahi! Brother of Kasumi Mahiru, and Kasumi Yozora!"

"The Kasumi Yozora?"

"Yep!"

"Wow, I never knew you guys were all related, but I had a suspicion though."

"Haha, mind if I sit next to you?"

"Sure go ahead." Is he making a move on me?

"You seem to be pretty good friends with Mahiru."

"Um yeah. We basically met here at the cafè, since I come so often, but she was one of Yume's friend too. Wait, are you part of the M4xS4 production/agency company?"

"Yes, I am. I do the boys acting department. Yozora does the modeling department for the girls."

"Your work is awesome! I watched a lot of the films you produced."

"Really?"

"Yup! They are soooo good!"

"Glad to hear that!"

"I was going to join that agency, but then Yume asked me to be head designers with her for Rainbow Berry Parfait."

"Well, if you tried out, you definitely would've of made it in. Onee-chan would like you a lot."

"Really?"

"Yup! I um have a weird question for you."

"Go ahead."

"Ok so um, this is gonna sound weird, but I know we've only met for like 10 minutes, but I can't stop thinking about you since the first time you walked into the cafè. So um, would you like to go out with me?"

I froze, was this a confession? Wait it was! It is true that we've only met for 10 minutes, but should I give it a chance?

"Yes," I said quietly, I could feel my cheeks burning up.

"And like I totally understand if you'd say no since we've only- wait, did you say yes?"

"Um yes."

"Really?" I nodded. "Ok um how about let's meet here on Saturday, normal time. Then I'll bring to different places!"

"Sure! Here's my phone number." I hand him a piece of paper.

"Ahhh thanks! Well, I have to get going. See you soon!" He waved then left.

"Bye!" I waved.

I walked up to the counter to return the cup I was using to Mahiru.

"Seems like you scored a date with Nii-san." Mahiru said taking the cup from me.

"Maybe..." I said, probably blushing again.

"Well, if he does anything bad to you, tell me ok?"

"Yes, Ma'm!" We laughed, then we said our goodbyes and I left. What a great start to the day. Not only did I finish the second rough draft, but I also got asked out!

Here's another chapter! I might not be updating for the next 2 weeks since I'll be on vacation. After that, I might be finishing this book and starting a new one, called This is my Side of the Story. Anyway's those are all mights. Thank you for the continuous support!
