Triathlon Pt.2 (Laura, Mahiru, Yume, Ako)

Previously...

"Guys we have to sleep! More training tomorrow!" Laura said.

"Ok! Good Night!" We all said. 

Yume POV

Chirp Chirp Chirp

I love when the birds wake me up instead of an alarm. For the past week, the girls and I have been training really hard. Too much even, but today's the day. We've formed a plan so we can do everything the fastest we can. They never said if there was a prize. If there is a prize, what would it be? The triathlon is supposed to start at 9 am. Right now it is 7, so we have about 1 and a half hours to warm up and get ready. 

"Yume! Get ready! We're all waiting for you!" Laura yelled outside my door.

"Hai Hai! Coming!" I yell back.

Once we were outside, we started stretching. 

"So here's the game plan," Mahiru said, "I have to swim 10 laps, which is 250 yards. I'm gonna get out really fast, then run to the bike station."

"I will already be on my bike," Ako said continuing, "Once you slap my hand, I'll take off. I have to bike for 1 mile. Once I get off my bike, I will run as fast as I can, to the running station."

"Once you slap my hand, " Laura continued, "I will start sprinting my mile with the baton in my hand since only runners have batons. I will pace myself, so I don't get too tired. Also, I will be running to the next running station."

"And once you get to me, you will hand me the baton, and I'll sprint my mile to the finish line!" I said, pumping my fist in the air.

"Then we will wait and see what we placed," Mahiru added.

"We've got a good game plan. Let's warm up, then we'll draw at what time we'll go at." Laura said.

"Let's go!" I started sprinting.

Together, we decided that I was gonna draw what time we were gonna start. S4 is going last, so we would like the 2nd to last time. Each group starts 5 minutes apart. The latest time is 10:55 am, which means S4 will start at 11. We decided that the later we went the better, we would get more time to warm up, and we wouldn't have to wait as long for the results.

" A representative for Gleaming Stars. Please come up to choose a time slot."

I nodded to the girls then went up. I put my in hand in the box and chose a piece of paper. I took it out and opened it.

"Please read it out loud," The lady said.

"10:55!" I said beaming. Was I that lucky, or was I just lucky? 

"Gleaming Stars took the spot, right before S4! Good luck to you guys!" 

"Arigato!" I walked down and went to the girls. "Yume!" They all said, then gave me a hug.

"I'm so glad you picked the one we wanted!" Laura said.

"YASSS!" Mahiru took out some blocks and sliced them.

"I'm not that happy or anything," Ako said.

"Awww really Ako-chan?" I asked her.

"Hmph, I supposed I'm a little happy. Just a little." 

"Kwaii Ako-chan." We all laughed.

"Lady and Gentlemen, the winners of this Triathlon will get a prize. I do nt 

"Let's watch the other racers," Laura said, "We'll see how the race works."

While we were watching, we saw some people go really fast and really slow. Some people had good stamina while others had poor stamina. We got to watch The Admins, and I'm gonna have to say, they're doing really well. 

"Girls! We have 10 minutes before we start! Let's warm up!" Laura said.

"Hai!" The rest of us nodded, then we started stretching, then we started running. 

"Maybe we shouldn't run that far," Mahiru said, "We are up in like 5 minutes."

Gleaming Stars, you are up in 2 minutes! Go to the pool, please! 

"Told you guys," Mahiru said.

"Well, we got no time to waste! Let's go!" I yelled, "Mahiru-chan do your best!"

It was 1 minute until Mahiru had to start when we got to the pool. Luckily, Mahiru was already ready.

"Kasumi Mahiru!" The man waved us over. Guess we were starting, but in the water, there was still someone swimming from the last group. It looked like they were on their 5th lap. 

"Mahiru! You got this!" I said.

"Common Mahiru! You're our starter!" Laura cheered.

"Just don't drown ok?" Ako said.

"Arigato, girls! I will do my best!" Mahiru said, then took out some blocks and sliced them. She walked over to the starting block and got ready.

"Swimmer take your marks, GO!" The man said. Mahiru dove in and started swimming. She was really fast, all of that training must've worked.

Mahiru POV (Short)

The first thought I had when I dove in? Swim fast. I'm the starter so it depends on me. I saw the girl in front of me still swimming, that means if I want to be really fast, I'll have to beat her.

Yume POV

"Go Mahiru-nee-san!" I turned around. There was S4 getting ready for their turn.

"Hi! Yume-chan!" Hime-Senpai said waving.

"Hi Hime-Senpai, Yozora-Senpai, Yuzu-Senpai, and Tsubasa -Senpai," I said waving back at them, while Ako and Laura did the same thing. 

"Girls, I've got to go get ready." Ako said." 

"I'll come with you," Laura said, "Will you be ok here with Mahiru?" 

"Yes, I will. Good luck." I said.

"Arigato!" Then they both left.

"Seems like I will be going against Saotome," Tsubasa-Senpai said.

"Yuzu going against Mahiru!" Yuzu said pointing to the water, "Geez she's fast, and it's only been 3 minutes." 

I looked over, Yuzu was right. Mahiru was almost done. She even beat the girl who was in front of her. I better go over to the end. I'm gonna run with Mahiru to the biking station. Mahiru touched the wall, just as I got there. Yuzu had 1 minute until she had to jump. So Mahiru took at least 4 minutes. Mahiru practically jumped out and said, "Let's go find Ako and Laura." Then she started sprinting.

Ako stuck to her word. By the time we got there, (which took like 30 seconds,) Ako was already on her bike, holding out her hand, ready to leave. This gave Mahiru a boost of energy. Full of energy, she sprinted then slapped Ako's hand. Ako sped off. 

"Go Ako!" Mahiru said breathlessly. She must be tired.

"Come on Ako! We'll be waiting for you at the next station!" Laura yelled.

"Ako-chan!" I yelled, "You got this! Don't forget to pace!"

Ako was already nearing her first turn, that means we won't be able to see her until she gets to the next station.

"Mahiru, go get a drink. Then meet us at the first running station." Laura said.

Mahiru nodded then left. Together, Laura and I walked to the next station.
