Chapter Three
Zara Ellis
“We’re here.”
I opened my eyes, nodding half-heartedly at Ash. Despite the fact that I was a legal adult and fully capable of looking after myself, we were parked outside Manchester Airport, due to my father’s commands. However, Ash was staying at SoundWave. She had insisted that she would come with me, but I knew that deep down, she wanted to stay, so I assured her I would be fine, not taking no for an answer.
I sighed, before Ash raced round the car, and opened the door for me.
“I can do that myself, you know,” I said, harsher than planned. Sighing again, I apologised, “Sorry, I’m just annoyed.”
Understandingly, she nodded.
With a groan, I stepped out of the car. My cast was bugging me like hell; not only did I have to limp everywhere, but it was also bright orange. When I had moaned to Ash about it earlier, she had grinned and said, “Well, at least orange is Ed’s favourite colour.”
But now, when I was limping though an airport with a bright orange beacon on my foot, I wasn’t so sure that Ed’s favourite colour really mad anything better.
And after a tearful goodbye with my best friend, I was off.

Once I had arrived on board, I was happily surprised with the window seat. After struggling to my seat with my massive cast, I sat down, hoping for a pleasant neighbour.
A few minutes later, someone set down in the seat next to me with a plop. Under further inspection, I gathered that it was a guy, in his early twenties, with bright ginger hair. His face was partly covered the hood of his green hoodie and although I could never have met him before, a sense of recognition washed over me, I just couldn’t remember where I had seen him.
He caught me staring and a smirk graced his face. “Hey.”
“H-hi,” I stuttered. How could he make me stutter with a single word?
He opened his mouth to speak, but the guy next to him grabbed his attention. He was a bulky guy, with obvious muscles bulging out of his t-shirt. The ginger and the bulky guy were whispering ferociously, so I decided to try to sleep.
I fell into unconsciousness, a certain ginger haunting my dreams.

“Wake up.”
That voice. I had heard it before, but where?
“Babe, you have to wake up,” the beautiful voice continued as someone shook me slightly. “Come on. We’re here.”
“We’re in London?” I asked groggily, rubbing my eyes.
“Yeah,” came the voice again, chuckling quietly.
When I could see clearly, I found myself face-to-face with the cute ginger guy, from before. Then I remembered.
“Wait,” I stuttered. “Aren’t you… you are…? Oh my God…”
He smirked at me, handsomely.
“Hi, I’m Ed Sheeran.”
