Chapter 5: The chopping block

I wake up and the first thing on my mind is who else saw Emily sneak out last night with Levi? I want to confront her about it but I am going to wait until eliminations today to see where we stand. I get ready for today then I go downstairs. Everyone is talking about who they think is going to be up for elimination, Jillian suggests that is going to be Annie, Sean, or Me?! I mean she's got some nerve my opening was great except for one part of it well really one word. We all go back and forth about the who's going to be in the bottom but no one seems to want to share their thoughts on a winner this week I am interested in who is going to walk away with the first challenge win.

After a while, we all start heading to hair and makeup to get the camera ready for tonight's elimination and trust me some of these people need all of the help they can get. All of the guys are in dashing suits and most of the girls are in dresses but for some reason, Cassadi thought it was okay to wear a short dress and leggings? Then Jillian was wearing a suit with a skirt?? I mean were on national television where audiences tune in and judge us for how we portray ourselves, but whatever not everyone can be a fashion icon. Shamir, Drew, and Josh come onto the set and sit at the judge's bench in front of us while all of us are on the main stage. Once everyone gets comfortable Shamir gives the producers a count down and filming begins. "Mockers welcome back to the main stage of Mock Trial All American Most Eligible, and a special thank you to our guest judge this week Josh the dedicated AMTA Rep. Now this weeks challenge tested your skills to give an opening. Some of you won the case and others... well, let's just say I'm happy I am not your client. If I call your name please step forward, Anna, Jillian, Emily, Cassadi, and Alex you are safe and you may have a seat in the jury box. Tamir, Trey, Sean, Annaleigh, and Annie you all represent the top and bottom mockers of the week. Time for the judges' critiques. Tamir you're up first." Josh said, "Tamir your speech was very impressive however you spoke with little passion and it was like you did not care whether your client went to jail or not." Drew said " Yeah buddy I was very shocked by your performance but I feel like you did not show your true potential. " Shamir: "Okay Trey time for your judges critiques" Josh, "Trey your opening was very well delivered I truly felt like you grasped the concept well until you said find my client guilty that really could have cost you points had you not recovered so well and shifted the focus back onto your clients innocents that type of skill is something any practicing attorney will need" Drew, "The find my client guilty thing really messed up a beautiful opening those mistakes can cost you in future." Shamir: "Sean it's time for your critiques let's hope you don't forget them" Josh, " Yeah Sean your opening was beautifully started however that memory issues you had severely cost you and made you stand out in a very bad way." Drew, "If you plan on staying in this competition and becoming a real attorney." I could tell Sean did not take that well which I understand his frustration at the end of the day Drew is a competitor like us. So, why does he get to sit on a high horse and judge us? Shamir continues with Annaleighs judge comments. Josh, "I see somebody came and brought their A game, I mean that was everything an opening should be. It was on par with an opening Drew gave last season very impressive." Drew, "I mean you had it all very impressive." Shamir: "Lastly Annie it is time for your judge's comments." Josh, "This was just a very bad opening for you I mean it really needed work like did you even read over the page?" Drew, "Buddy... you cannot be this unprepared for a competition of this magnitude"

After the judges said their comments about everyone's openings it was very clear who the winner was but who was in the bottom? Shamir said, "Mockers thank you for your hard work however I have made my decision, Tamir and Trey you are safe you may join the others in the jury box. Annaleigh Congratulations you are this weeks challenge winner! You may join the others. Sean and Annie, I am sorry but you two are up for elimination. We are now going to take a brief recess and when we come back mockers in this seasons latest twist, YOU will decide who goes home from the bottom two! So think wisely and carefully on who you want to go home!

We get dismissed and we all go to a waiting room and let's just say the air in that room was tense! Anna was pissed because she was not a Top of the week she really thought her opening was one the best. Jillian's face was cracked realizing she was not the winner this week, which I don't know why her opening was structured like a closing. I see Alex and I go talk to him. I ask him "so who are you voting to go home?" He replied with "Well who do you want to go home?" I honestly did not know and I think he could tell so he tried to shift the focus and he congratulated me and even patted my shoulder then he smacked my ass as he left, this boy is playing games but I must admit I don't mind at all. I find Emily and I ask her who she's voting for and she says she doesn't know because she does not particular like Sean or Annie. Annaleigh walks over and we both congratulate her and we ask her who she is voting for? She tells us Annie so we both agree with that.

Soon Shamir starts chewing out Olivia and Levi about why are we not back on stage by now so they quickly get us back on stage. Once we are on stage Shamir begins the filming "Mockers, it is now time to cast your votes, one at a time you will each cast your ballot"

Confessional voting

Jillian- "I am voting for Sean he forgot the opening and that's unacceptable"

Anna- "Sorry Annie but I couldn't even understand you"

Tamir- " I don't really care who guys home but I guess I am voting for Sean"

Alex - " I am voting for Annie I mean she brings nothing to this competition and plus babe said to vote her out"

Annaleigh- " Yeah Annie has to go I'm going to miss her but I have to be fair"

Trey- "Welp somebody has to go might as well be the weakest link... well shortest bye Annie"

Emily - "EHH I'm voting Annie"

Cassadi - "I could never vote out my baby Sean so bye Annie"

After we all vote Shamir reviews and calls Annie and Sean to the front. "Jury you have made a decision and .... Annie you have been deemed ineligible to stay in this competition I am sorry but your time is up. Sean, you may join the other mockers in the jury box. Annie do you have any final words?" Annie looked at us and said "I am sorry I messed up have a great season and I can't wait to see this seasons memes" The poor girl was crying her eyes out but she had to go. Shamir wraps up the show and then we all go back to the mansion and unload well until some drama started going down.
