Ch.29: Forgiveness

1) I sat next to Diana for 7 hours straight as I held her hand. She was asleep and had stitches. She had lost the baby. The grand master came to me with a note from Aden and the entire Constantinople assassins. Apparently they now know that we were in a relationship. They tried to feed me but I did not eat. I just waited for Diana to wake up.

2) the grandmaster sat next to me and told me what had happened.  She and the other assassin he sent were ambushed. The templars knew we were here in China. The Templar associate had ties with the city guard and the assassin that was sent was killed. Diana got stabbed in the stomach and it was my fault. If I hadn't let the Templars know that I took the documents, then Diana wouldn't have been exposed. It was my fault. I jeopardized the brotherhood. I was angry. I wanted the man's head.

3) his name was Wai law. He was in the Templar den by the market district. I was finished sitting around. I grabbed my sword and Diana's throwing knife belt and rapped it around me. I grabbed her steal dagger and stuck behind my belt. As I walked for the door, the grandmaster tried to stop me. "Don't waist your life like this. I'll send some of my assassins with you." I didn't listen. I just left.

4) I ran to the Templar hideout. When I got there, I saw 12 Templar guards surrounding the perimeter.  I waited till they got close to one another. I walked out from the corner and drew my sword. I grabbed 2 throwing knives and walked to them. They stared at me and pulled out there weapons. I threw the knives and killed 2. They charged. I moved out of the way and slid my blade across each of their necks. I ducked and slid left while grabbing one of there legs. I flipped him and killed another. I dragged him by the leg and pulled him near the dead Templars. I picked him up "how many" I screamed at him. "6" he said, frightened by my voice.

5) "where's Wai Law" I yelled even loader.  "In the back" he began to cry. He was pitiful.  I grabbed Diana dagger and Jamed it onto his stomach as I stared at him in the eyes. I pulled out and walked to the door. I kicked it in.  I didn't care if they knew I was here. I was going to kill everyone. One ran at me so I lifted my arm and as he got close I jammed my hidden blade into his forehead as I stabbed him in the stomach. I threw him to the floor and walked down the hall.

6) this time 3 of them charged at me. I swiped left and stabbed one in the neck with my sword. I pulled out as one was behind me and hit him with the butt of my sword. I grabbed Diana dagger and stabbed him in the stomach. I looked at the last one and he tried to run. I threw a throwing knife at his back. He laid there crawling away.  I flipped him over at stabbed him in the stomach. I walked to the last room. I kicked it in. There he was. Standing behind 2 Templars. I put my sword in its sheath and put Diana's dagger on the table. I stared at the 2 Templars waiting for them to make a move. One charged at me and I elbowed him in the face. I got behind him at pulled the sword from his sheath and stabbed him with it. I left the sword in as he fell. I looked at the last one. He ran at me and I grabbed his arm and broke it. I forced him to his knees. I forced my hidden blade into his chest.

7 "that just leaves you" I said as I stared at him. "You can't kill me, I am the second for the imperial leader. If you kill me then he will kill you" he said as he stepped back. I picked up Diana's dagger and walked over to him. I raised my foot and ran it into his knee breaking it. I looked at him. "You will make every Templar in China leave the country Make it illegal to be associated with them." I yelled. "If you don't, I will make it to where you will beg for death, but never receive it. Am I clear". He shook his head and screamed yes. "You will tell the majesty that it was a Templar who killed his son and the assassins were wrongly blamed. Are we clear" I yelled even louder. He agreed. I left him there next to the 2 dead Templars. I walked out, I did not kill him. He wasn't a Templar. He didn't need to die. I wasnt even sure he stabbed Diana. As far as I know, he gave the order.

8) I walked back to the assassins headquarters and saw 10 assassins gearing up. I saw the grandmaster and told him there was no need. I explained  what happen and he thanked me. I took off my gear and folded it up by Diana's bed. I sat there hoping she would get better. I used my eagle vision to see her wound. It was healing. I asked if the price of Eden could do anything but it was only good for small wounds. The grand master told me of a shroud that was used by a mother on her son who died on a 2 wooded planks to come back to life 3 days past his death,but it was lost. It was an artifact that was used in events of history. I asked if it was an option, I would try and find it. He said that it was impossible.  So I waited for a few days.

9) she had woken up and was feeling better. The doctor gave her medicine and new stitches. She wanted to hug me but pulled her stitches out trying. She fried as I told her the news. I told her what happen and she felt sorry for me. We had lost the child and I almost lost her. She told me to head back to Constantinople but I wouldn't.  So she forced me with a knife to my throat. She was injured and almost broken mentally but she was still Diana.
