Assassin recruit

Ch. 24: old men on the mountain

1) was running with 2 other assassins who I was leading to secure the den by the market district.  We had just fought threw a wave of Templar soldiers. When we got closer we saw another wave of Templar soldiers who had there weapons drawn. I drew 5 throwing knives and told the 2 Assassins to flank while I distract. We split up and I threw the knives killing 3 and injuring 2. I preformed a hook jump. [ its where my hook blade grabs there shoulder as I jump over them]. When I landed the assassins who I told to flank were on the roofs with crossbows shooting bolts at them. I pulled out my steal dagger . One Templar threw a punch but I dogged and ran my blade into his chest. I spun around stabbing another in the neck.

2) A Templar soldier swung his sword at me but was killed by a bolt from one of the assassins before he had the chance to land the blow. When we finished them off we ran for the den again. This time the 2 assassins were on the roof and I was on the ground. They took out the Templar soldiers on the roofs who were shooting at me with rifles. When we got to the den I noticed dead and wounded assassins on the ground. I told the 2 assassins who were with me to get the survivors to a safe place as I would handle the rest.

3) before they had a chance to pick up the survivors the were stabbed in the back by a man in knight armor. I looked at them when they hit the floor. This man had hidden blades and Templar armor. I couldn't handle this. I charged at him and he hit me in the jaw when I got close. [Did I mention he was huge]. He picked me up by my neck and dragged me to the entrance of the door and knocked me out.

4) "Jason.... Jason get up... Jason" Ezio said as he grabbed my shoulders. "What happen, what did you do". I didn't understand him until I looked at the fallen assassins who surrounded me. It had looked like I killed them because they had knife wounds that only a hidden blade could create.  "Ezio it wasn't me, it was a Templar, he had. .." Ezio put his hand over my mouth. "I know but it still looks like you killed them" he said as other assassins who walked up to Ezio and I. They hated me. I could tell by there face. What's worse was Diana was in the crowd and looked at me and then looked down. "Were taking you to the assassins headquarters.

5) I waited for 7 hours in my cot. I played the scenario in my head going over what happened. "Jason there here" Yusuf said as he and 2 other masters walked me to the main hall. I noticed 3 really old men in what looked like assassin robes. "This is the council, they are the ones who determine what happens when a assassin breaks a tenant" Yusuf stated. I stood in the center and greeted them. They didn't look happy. They asked Ezio to the center. "Ezio is this your assassin" One asked. "Yes, he is mine and I can assure you he is innocent" Ezio said with a stern voice. I could tell he didn't like the council and the council didn't like him. "You recruited him?" Another asked as Ezio said yes.

6) "Jason you have been accused of killing other assassins and have broken a creed, you compromised the brotherhood." The old man stated. "I didn't kill them, it was a Templar with hidden blades. I was on my way with the 2 assassins Ezio assigned to me and tried to protect the city from the Templar invasion. There were still some assassins that were wounded so I told them to take the survivors to safety". They looked at me and said "are you willing to prove this?" I was confused, "how do I prove this?" Yusuf pulled out an piece of eden and gave it to the man in the middle of the 3 council members. "With this". Ezio nodded his head at me and I agreed. The Apple of Eden shined with a bright yellow light. I blacked out and a few seconds later I came to. "We have come to a conclusion that you are innocent and the only men you have killed were Templars.

7) I was confused, "you were under the influence of the Apple of Eden, you were in a blank state for 2 hours"Ezio said as we left the center. I saw the old men get there stuff and headed for the door followed by 4 master assassins with all white robes.  Diana ran to me" I knew it wasn't true, if it was I Would of killed you" she said as she hugged me. She still scared me. Ezio and Yusuf headed for the library to discuss the man in the Templar armor that I met earlier. Ezio had told me we secured the den and repelled the Templars but we had lost 17 assassins in the battle

{When the council used the Apple the had the power to probe my mind and subconscious, they could see a representation of what had happened over my head. Ezio called this a hologram. They saw the Templar with the hidden blades. }
