Assassin recruit

Ch. 9: Novice

1) I was awaken to the sound of footsteps and Diana standing over me. we were in the headquarters. "looks like you had a fun filled adventure dispite nearly dieing killed" she laughed.  Yusuf walked over to the medical cot  and greeted me with a hug. I felt pain due to my injuries. "you did great, besides being wounded and beaten to a pulp you did what we expected" he said. Diana held my hand as the Doctor held me back down to the table. I noticed Ezio at the desk going threw papers while talking to Aden about how Malum and Meren stayed behind to rebuild the brotherhood in Egypt. the doctor tied me to the cot and then grabbed his surgery knife. "I'm going to remove the arrow head stuck in your sholder" he said. he seemed Italian like my mentor Ezio. I yelled as he cut open my shoulder to dig out the arrow and then placed herbs into the open wound. "this is jade leaf which will help the healing process" he said as he began to sow me up.

2) after he finished patching me up I got off the cot and Diana still holding my hand, walked me over to Ezio. "you have done well Jason, Aden has told me of your exploits. So I am going to promote you to Rank-4 Novice." he called for Dominic to get the box in the treasured room then headed back to hand Ezio the box. Ezio pulled out another shard and held it to my shoulder. "this shard helps in healing minor wounds, and since the Doctor fixed it to where it was a minor wound this will work." I felt it healing me. I was able to move my right arm without any problems. It was glowing yellow which made Ezio curious but said nothing he grabbed a paper and a pencil and wrote down something away from my view. apparently Diana knew something as well.

3) Ezio, Diana, and I walked to the armory and another mentor handed me my new armor. it was iron and heavier then my leather that had been cut up in my fight with William. Ezio then asked me for my right and left hidden blades and exchanged them for the steal versions. they were sharper and smother then my old ones. he gave me 750 gold. " I'm sending you to the assassins den to the market district for your training, Diana will be the teacher today and while your there take this" Ezio handed me a note sealed in a wax stamp with the Assassin symbol engraved, take this to the den master.

4) we walked to the great lake and took a boat. as we made it to the other side we saw Janissaries harassing the Romani. "shouldn't we do something?" I asked "there our allies" but Diana said this happens to the a lot And that the Romani don't mind. I asked if she was hungry and she nodded so we headed to the market where I noticed the empty home of the baker who was kind to me. I bought 2 bowls of rice and 2 pork slices and handed her one of each. we sat at the table and she pulled a knife on me and said "this isn't a date, so don't get the idea that this is." she was still scary.

5) after we ate we left for the Assassin den.I met the den master and handed him the note. he opened and then burned it. I took little notice of it but he thanked me and told me to meet up with the other assassins waiting for training while he needed to talk to Diana. the other assassins were the same rank as me but of different units, they all knew my name. word got out that I killed a Templar knight. Diana approached and told us to follow.

6) her way of training was more difficult because she forced us to run to the Anmut tower and the last one there was forced to climb it twice. as we started to climb, a rock hit my back. apparently Diana was throwing stones at us. I jumped to the right of the wall dodging rocks aimed at head. I was getting tired and Diana noticed, so she threw a knife at me and landed in the wall by my left hand. "keep climbing and bring my knife with you" she yelled. when we got to the top Diana rushed up and told the the Assassin who was last to go down and back up. Diana didn't care if the Assassin was a girl, because this was her rules.

7) Once she got back up Diana yelled at her for being slow. we continued the traning by using our hook blades to slide down the rope. Diana went first. "hi, my name is leya" the Assassin approached me. she was 5'2" and had black hair and brown eyes. she was from Libya. I knew she was from the Intel division judging by her robes and green scarce around her waist. "hello, my name is jason" I said. "I know who you are, and I know your parents are from England and your hair is black and your eyes are special." I thanked her for the compliment but she giggled for some reason.

8) another assassin slid down the rope. "how do you know my parents are from england?" I asked seeing as how i was an orphan. "I looked at your records, it's the Intel's responsibility to know where everyone is from" she said with confidence. It was nearing my turn in line to go down the ropes. Leya and I moved up closer to the wooden pike that connected to rope to the other building. Whack Diana had thrown a knife at us that went into the wall beneath us. "we better go before the next one hits us" I said as she giggled even more.

9) after training Diana asked me what was with Leya. she seemed jealous but I would never dare say that to her or she would hurt me. "nothing why?" I asked. "I'm curious, what of it?"  it was getting dark so we walked back to the headquarters and got our meals from the barracks. Ezio asked me to go with him tomorrow to do something important so I'm obliged and went to my bed.
