Grian's first encounter with Yandere High was never meant to be permanent.

He had only come to visit.

A beach day, that was all it was supposed to be.

Sam had invited him enthusiastically, insisting that he finally meet Taurtis in person and see what life was like where they lived. Grian remembered stepping off the train that day, expecting nothing more than sun, laughter, and a short escape from his routine back in England.

Instead, chaos greeted him immediately.

Arguments broke out over nothing. People stared far too long. Conversations shifted unpredictably from friendly to unsettling. At one point, someone chased another person down the beach for reasons Grian never fully understood.

And yet, despite it all, he had fun.

Sam was loud and animated, dragging him into activities without explanation. Taurtis laughed through the madness, apologizing one moment and making things worse the next. He was chaotic and strange, doing things that made little sense on the surface, wandering off mid-conversation, making bizarre observations, acting on impulses no one else could follow.

And yet, somehow, Taurtis was the most logical one there.

When situations escalated too far, Taurtis was the first to notice. When Sam's emotions ran too high, Taurtis redirected him, not calmly, but effectively. His methods were odd, his behavior unpredictable, but his reasoning was sharp. He understood patterns others missed.

The day was confusing, strange, and filled with unanswered questions, but it was also alive.

The town felt... off.

The school felt even weirder.

But walking between his two friends, listening to them argue and joke like nothing was wrong, Grian found himself smiling.

Going to school together didn't sound so bad.

So when the idea was suggested—half-jokingly at first—that Grian transfer to Yandere High, he considered it.

Then he decided.

He moved.

He transferred.

When Grian transferred to Yandere High, he believed it would be simple.

A normal school life.
Something close to what he had back in England.

Classes, homework, classmates, nothing more than the usual struggles of being the new student. Maybe louder. Maybe stranger. But manageable.

He never imagined how wrong he was.

Yandere High wasn't dangerous because of its rules or structure. It was still a school. Teachers taught. Bells rang. Lessons continued on schedule. The town surrounding it appeared calm on the surface.

The problem wasn't the institution.

It was the people.

They were obsessive.
Unstable.
Unpredictable.

Madness wasn't enforced, it spread.

At first, Grian managed to settle in. He stuck close to Sam and Taurtis, grateful to have familiar faces in a place that made little sense. Sam was loud and emotionally intense, overly attached but seemingly harmless. Taurtis remained chaotic and weird, acting on strange impulses—but always thinking several steps ahead, always noticing when something was about to go wrong.

Yuki was weird, reserved, and distant, her emotions tightly restrained beneath a polite exterior.

Sam and Yuki were dating.
