I'm apologizing now because I have no idea how to write a good fight scene XD
I waited in the tunnel to be announced into the arena. It was finally time for my battle with Ibara Shiozaki. "Even beautiful flowers have thorns," I heard Present Mic begin to welcome my opponent into the rink. "Its the assassin from class 1-B, Ibara Shiozaki from the hero course!"
"Alright [F/N], lets do this." I started walking out and onto the fighting grounds as Mic announced my name.
"Our second contestant is the girl we've all been wanting to see more of. Ranking first place in UA's entrance exam and another hero in the making, its 1-A's star pupil [F/N] [L/N]!!" The crowd cheered as we both made our way onto the stage-like area. 'Star pupil, really? He makes me sound better than everyone.'
"Um, excuse me. Please pardon the interruption." My attention jumped over to Shiozaki who was facing towards the announcer booth. "I'm not sure why you called me an assassin. I've come to the festival in search of victory, not to take my opponents life. That wouldn't be in line of the values of a hero at all sir." 'Oh my god she's so pure.'
"I'd like to say something as well if you don't mind." I said also turning to the booth. "You called me the "star pupil". That just makes me sound like I'm above everyone, and I'm not. Everyone has their strengths and weaknesses, and all we can do is work with them until we rise above them!"(Poor [F/N], if only you knew what you were capable of. Foreshadowing? I think yes.)
"Very well said [F/N]." Shiozaki said turning to me.
"Thank you."
"Oh yeah that's my bad. I'm sorry you two. Anyway...BEGIN!!" Immediately Shiozaki's vines raced forward and wrapped around my body. "Huh? Has [F/N] already been immobilized?"
"What are you talking about? This is nothing." I was able to produce ice from my arms and freeze the vines around me making it easy for me to break them off. "See, told you. My turn." I raced around in a circle producing a ring of fire as I went, keeping the two of us locked in. "Your vines aren't very found of fire now are they?"
"WOAH!? I didn't even see her move. [F/N] has some serious speed on her!"
"Uh, alright. I'll just have to work around this." Shiozaki said looking around frantically. She wiled the vines to travel below the ground to try and yet again incase me but this time I was ready. As soon as they popped up I grabbed them(which #hurted) And sped around Shiozaki's body incasing her in her own vines. And just to make sure she was REALLY immobilized, I covered the vines in metal to keep her put.
"...wow. Well it looks like Shiozaki's been immobilized! [F/N] has crazy skill!"
"[F/N] is the winner! She'll move on to the second round!" The crowd cheered as I started breaking away the metal and helping Shiozaki untangle herself.
"This is thoroughly heart crushing." She said with a dejected tone.
"Aw don't sweat it Shiozaki. If it makes you feel any better, I really enjoyed battling you! Your quirk is really cool!"
"Huh?! Thank you very much! I...hope to be able to fight you again."
"Ditto." The two of us walked of the arena and into the designated watching areas. I plopped down in the first row by Kirishima and in front of Katsuki and Kaminari. (All my best bois start with 'K' wtf)
"You did great out there [F/N]!" Kaminari said leaning over my shoulder.
"Thanks Kami! Shiozaki was a great opponent!"
