'Well now what do I do?' You thought to yourself as you wandered around the mall. There's nothing else you needed or wanted to buy and the Boar Hat fiasco had you ridded you of an appetite, so what else was there to do really? Just as you were thinking about heading home, you heard a voice call out to you.
"[F/n]!" It was Ashido, running to you full speed before jumping onto you, almost knocking you over in the process. "Come try on swim suits with me!"
"Woah woah Mina give me a second." You pleaded as you put your hand on your chest, trying to get your heartbeat back at a normal pace.
"Hehe sorry," Ashido laughed as she let go of your torso. "So~ how about it? I passed by earlier and they've got a bunch of cute ones in stock right now."
"Well I already have a swimsuit prepared, but a second one couldn't hurt." You pondered thoughtfully.
"That's the spirit!" Ashido cheered, hooking your arm in hers. "Onward!"
...
"Mina, if you continue at this rate you're going to try on the whole store before we leave." You sighed as you watched Ashido step out of the dressing room for at least the twelfth time, this some sporting a pink two piece with cherries.
"Aww but they're all so cute~" Ashido replied with a pout, kicking her foot across the ground. "How come you haven't tried any on [F/N]?"
"Oh uh I'm not really sure I can pull any of these off like you can." You chuckled, rubbing your nape.
Ashido gasped and ran towards you, clasping your hands in hers. "Nonsense! Absolutely not true!" She exclaimed with determination in her eyes. "I'll find you the perfect swim suit! One that'll make everyone who sees you stop in their tracks!" And without any room to argue, the energetic girl pulled you off into the aisles. Well, not before you made her put some real clothes on.
It took a lot of searching and decision making, and it really didn't help that Mina Ashido was the single most indecisive person on the planet when it came to clothing, but she finally found something that she dubbed worthy of you.
It wasn't anything special, to be honest it was kind of on the bland side. You were surprised that Ashido had chosen this piece for you instead of the flashier ones that lined the racks, when she herself would go straight to them.
The swimsuit Ashido chose for you was a black two piece. The top had wider straps with three decorative pearl buttons lining down from the neck. The bottom was just plain black, but had open crosses on each of the sides.
You were impressed with quality and comfort of the piece, and mentally applauded Ashido's ability to spot something that fit right into your comfort zone.
You stepped out of the changing room Ashido had practically thrown you into moments before, doing a slight spin as if you were on a runway "What do you think? Does it look alright?" You asked your friend as she stared at you with a black face. "Um...Mina? Everything okay?"
Without a word, Ashido stood up from where she sat and took a few steps in towards you, a smile starting to stretch across her face. "Heh, I knew it."
You looked at her with a puzzle expression "Knew what?"
"That even in a simple outfit like this, you'd look absolutely beautiful." At your friend's words you felt your face heat up.
"W-well I don't know about all that-"
"No I'm serious," Ashido interrupted you. "It doesn't matter what it is, everything about you is perfect. From your smile, to your laugh, to your personality, everything is perfect...to me at least." Even with her skin already being pink, you could sort of see a darker shade start to form on her cheeks and ears, but her smile never left. "I can't believe I just said all that!!" She squealed as she turned away from you.
"It's alright Mina! I appreciate the things you said." You told her with a smile, even though she couldn't really see it from behind you.
"If it's alright then...then do you mind if I say one last thing?" She said, turning to you shyly.
You felt something inside of you sink slightly, but nonetheless said "Sure, what's up?"
"I..well I just," Ashido hesitated, trying to put her thoughts into words, but you already know what she wanted to say. "I really really like you [F/N]!" She finally got out. "Woo! Glad to get that off my chest, haha!" Ashido exclaimed with a happy grin.
"Mmhm, good job." You said half heartedly, starting to develop a bad taste from these out of the blue confessions.
"Oh..you don't feel the same, do you?" Ashido asked, her smile starting to slip.
You let out a sigh, covering your face with your hands. "I don't know Mina, I really don't." You mumbled between your fingers. "Things are complicated at the moment and it's really hard to wrap my head around. I'm sorry, but I can't give you a definite right now."
You felt a pair of hands slowly pull yours away from your face, Ashido's kind smile greeting you on the other side.
"[F/N], it's okay," she said. "I've never had a crush on anyone before, so it's not like I know what I'm doing. However I do know that you've got quite a few people lining up at your door if you know what I mean." She laughed, giving you a wink, making you laugh too. "The decision of what you choose to do from here on out is yours and yours alone, and whatever it is I will be proud of you, okay?"
You squeezed Ashido's hands which were still in yours, giving her a smile. "Thanks Mina, I'm gonna need some time to mull this all over."
"That's perfectly valid! As long as you're happy, I'll be happy." Ashido brought you into a hug which you happily returned. "Now let's go buy our swimsuits!"
"Oh! Did you finally pick one?"
...
"Mina?"
"So maybe I'm getting more than one-"
"Mina!"
After buying your desired goods, you and Ashido walked out talking about this and that, when an announcement sounded over the intercoms:
"ATTENTION ALL SHOPPERS, WE HAVE GOTTEN WORD THAT A MEMBER OF THE LEAGUE OF VILLAINS HAS BEEN SPOTTED INSIDE OF THE MALL. FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY PLEASE EVACUATE THE PREMISES IMMEDIATELY...."
