I wanted to see what Honeydew's assignment was. I watched as they tied up my friend and knocked her unconscious. I went in to help her. "Aren't you supposed to be somewhere?" Mantis growled. "Let her go!" I yelled. Three dragons started to pick her up and fly away with her. I started to fly after her but then I felt claws in my underbelly. I kicked at Mantis. His claws left marks on my scales. Then his claws went to my neck. "Ack." I mumbled as he sliced my neck open. I saw a vine and wrapped it around his neck. "Take her to Pyrrhia." Mantis gasped. I then passed out leaving the vine wrapped around Mantis. The first thing I saw when I woke up was my mother. I felt around my neck. Healing leaves were there. "Sweetheart don't move. What do you want?" She asked. "H-Honeydew." I gasped out. "We can't find Honeydew anywhere. I'm sorry." Mother said looking at her talons, "one of the cooks found you. She said it looked like you and Mantis were in a big fight." "Pyrrhia." I choked out. My voice was horse and I could barely speak a word. "Hold on I'll get you some paper." Mother said walking off. I looked around. A nurse was looking at a Silkwing dragonet for something and the other just wasn't paying attention. Her copper scales reminded me of that copper wingless dragon. But this one had big rustic wings. "Do you have a daughter?" I asked the nurse. Her head went up. "Oh. You shouldn't be talking. But yes. Her name is Copper and she's getting her wings next month." She answered. "She. She was part of the band that kidnapped Honeydew." I gasped. "Princess Honeydew was kidnapped! By my daughter!" The nurse yelled. "And 4 others. And Mantis." I said before passing out. The next time I woke up I did not see the sad face of my mother. I saw Queen Aphid with her angry expression. I gulped. "My daughter was kidnapped." She growled. "Y-Yes. I tried your majesty." I said. "It's alright Evergreen. You can rest. I'll take care of it. I've already got Copper and a male named Buckeye. Hopefully they'll tell me more information." She said. I nodded. "Tell me if you find her?" I asked. Queen Aphid nodded. I looked around the room. The copper colored nurse was not there anymore. Only the Leafwing and Hivewing doctors were here. I could barely talk so I wondered what I would do to eat. Would they put a tube down my throat? Would they have soft food for me? "Prince Evergreen please calm down." A Hivewing nurse said. I relaxed and she smiled at me. She looked like Sunspot but I couldn't tell with the haze coming over me. "But there is one thing to worry about." She said. Before I could respond I felt like I was going to pass out again. "Me." She whispered. Then everything went black.
