Inspired by Flash 4x05 - "Girls Night Out"

"A toast to Mrs. Allen," Felicity said raising up her glass of champagne.

"Mrs. West-Allen," Iris corrected.

"West-Allen, ah I keep forgetting you hyphenated," Felicity corrected. "So how is it getting re-married finally. Or is it more of a vow renewal thing, because we all technically got married after the whole Nazi debacle, a few years ago."

Caitlin began to zone out, her mind still stuck on what she was going to do. If she moved back to Central City she'd have to tell the rest of the team about Melony. But how would they react, how would Barry and Iris react with the wedding coming up so soon.

Caitlin quickly zoned back in once Cecile offered up her glass of champagne and Caitlin gulped the whole thing as the girls talked. She then spotted a man approaching them out of the corner of her eye.

"Uhh... did you girls order a stripper?" Iris asked, looking at the one-eyed man.

"Why didn't you tell me? I would've brought all my singles," Felicity replied.

"Amunet wants you," the man interrupted, directing his forceful message towards Caitlin.

"Umm... Caitlin do you know him?" Iris asked. Caitlin only looked down silently.

"You need to come with me," the man continued.

"I'm not going anywhere with you."

"Please tell me this is just apart of his act," Cecile leaned in.

"If it is, it's taking too long," Felicity replied, "Take it off!" she snapped her fingers.

The man leaned his face over the table, dropping his glass eye into a glass of champagne.

"Ew, gross! I meant take off your pants, not your eye," Felicity exclaimed.

A snake-like creature then started to slither out of his eye hole, making the rest of the girls slide back in their chairs. Caitlin still stood there silent.

"Stand back, we've got this," Felicity said, grabbing a chair. She hit him, breaking the chair, but he didn't fall. Then Iris tried, she got a few good hits in but he still didn't fall. He then hit her back and Felicity back with his snake eye.

Caitlin backed up to the table behind her, trying to steady her breaths, "Please don't do this here."

"It didn't have to be this way," he replied, slowly approaching her.

"Please, I'll come back for another job. Just not here," Caitlin begged.

"Boss wants you now, and whatever boss wants boss gets," he replied. "Then again, she also has ways of making you do what she wants... I hear little Mel has been an A+ student lately."

Something flicked a switch in Caitlin, her eyes glowed blue, her hair faded to white, and all of a sudden frost was emanating from her hands aggressively. In one swift movement, she blasted the snaked-eye freak out of the window.

"Don't ever try to threaten my daughter again," Caitlin said, as he got up and ran away.

Her heart now steadying after the rush, she looked over to the other girls.

Oh God... she thought to herself.

.................................................................

"What the heck? First of all, you have physical transforming ice powers?! And who was that guy? and Who's Amunet? And, excuse me, but daughter?" Felicity ranted, as she paced around Star Labs' cortex.

Caitlin sat in a seat silently, thinking about what was she going to say, and more importantly where she wanted to be right now. Hearing from Novak, the snake-eyed man, that Amunet would use Mel to get to her, all she wanted to be was with her daughter right now. But that would only endanger her... All Caitlin wanted to do is hide Mel from danger, but now she is the danger.

Oh god! What am I gonna do... Caitlin thought. The only thing I can do, I have to get rid of Amunet first.

"Felicity, chill for a second, try to give her a minute to explain herself," Iris said looking over at Caitlin. "Caitlin, Caitlin!" Iris said, shaking Caitlin out of her train of thought.

"Hm- yeah?" Caitlin replied.

"Do you care to explain anything that just happened tonight?" Iris asked.

"Ummm..."

"Start with the whole odd man coming to get you and daughter part, maybe," Felicity not so subtly suggested.

"That was, Norvak. One of my old co-workers, I guess you can say," Caitlin replied.

"I thought you said you worked at a bar," Iris mentioned.

"I do, I do. It's just that it's a bar run by an underground meta crime lord, Amunet Black."

"Amunet Black?" Cecile exclaimed, "the force has been trying to catch her for years. She's infamously known for selling drugs, bank robberies, and owning multiple illegal meta-fight clubs."

"Yep, all those things..." Caitlin trailed off, not wanting to admit she was apart of most of Amunet's crimes in the past 4-5 years. She was desperate for any type of income then, freezing some people into an ice block in the meta arena was just some extra easy money for her then.

"And the daughter thing?" Felicity asked.

"Yes... my daughter... Melony," Caitlin looked down at her twiddling thumbs.

"How old is she?" Iris asked.

"Six."

"Six years ago..." Iris said, thinking for a second. Caitlin bit her lip in nervousness waiting to hear what Iris was going to say next. "Julian?.."

Apart of Caitlin was relieved, the other part of her felt her pile of lies getting too tall. Caitlin reluctantly shook her head yes.

"Does he know?" Iris asked.

Caitlin shook her head no. A few moments of silence passed, while everyone pondered on the new information.

"Are you ever gonna tell him? Were you ever going to tell us?" Iris asked.

"Yes-No- Id don't know," Caitlin stumbled. "Julian doesn't need to know," she said, knowing to have him fly back from England was just going to cause more confusion and drama. "Cisco already knows, but... I just didn't know when I was going to be ready to tell you all, now I guess I was never going to be ready... These past six years have been the best of my life, with her. But as you saw tonight... I'm not proud of all of it, and I'm sorry... And I- I-- I'm sorry I just have to go now."

Caitlin left quickly, with her mind clouded by a storm of thoughts. Overwhelmed, Caitlin decided to take a walk. Her mind was filled with worries and fear.

Would one of the girls try to contact Julian? Would they tell the rest of the guys? Would Amunet really use Mel to try to get to me? That final thought stuck in Caitlin's mind. The thing that worried her the most right then, but really what she always worried about, Mel's safety.

Soon she found herself getting onto a bus headed to downtown Central City.
