I had to drag myself through work with a plastered on smile. But my insides were churning and I wanted to cry. I didn't know what was going on with Yoongi and I wasn't sure what it meant. He walked away. Does that mean we're broken up?
I called Taehyung when I was clocking out because I really needed my friend. And we hadn't spent much time together recently. He'd gotten busy with work and classes.
"Tae?"
"Chim Chim! I wanted to call you too!"
"Can you come over?"
"What happened?" Worry laced his tone and I could hear him digging out his keys.
"I need Totoro." I told him.
"Kookie too?"
"Yes please."
Hoseok offered to drive me home and I let him. Yoongi had dropped me off on his way to the restaurant. I couldn't have driven right now anyway. It was too much for me to handle on top of not crying. I didn't like the thought of taking the bus in this kind of mood, I could miss my stop easily and get lost. Hoseok didn't deserve all the hate he was getting from Yoongi. I was so confused by how End was acting toward the both of us and I had no answers. Hoseok pulled into the lot before I directed him to, I'd been a terribly absent navigator.
"This is the building my apartment is in, isn't that nice Jimin? We'll be neighbors!" He was being too peppy for me to handle, but I nodded and sent him a grateful smile.
"Thank you for taking me home Hoseok hyung."
"Anytime, call me when things get sorted out okay?"
I nodded again.
I barely made it to the door when I was caught up in a tangle of arms.
"I wanted to hug him first!"
"Well I got here first!"
"How are you two still dating?" I asked the bickering couple, feeling a bit guilty at the bitterness and jealousy that pricked my heart. "All you do is argue."
They set me down. "They aren't real arguments most of the time. And when they are, we have to work through them together, it helps us grow."
"Awe, Kookie that's so sweet," Tae quipped, then he frowned. "Now let's start talking."
We settled in my apartment before we actually started talking and I told them about Jealous Yoongi and then about Angry-Doesn't-Wanna-Talk-To-Me-And-Tell-Me-What's-Wrong Yoongi. I was clutching Totoro close and stroking its soft fur to soothe myself. Tonight's snack was pizza. I absently thought Yoongi would be pleased with me for having an actual meal, but then I remembered I was supposed to be mad right back at him.
"I don't know what he's upset about." I whispered.
Taehyung out a gentle hand on my arm. "I think he thinks this Hoseok guy likes you. It would make me angry if someone was hanging around my Jungkook like that."
"I don't think he does though, but even if he did, I like Yoonie, not Hoseok."
"I think you should give him some space, maybe he'll call you and apologize. He just needs time to cool down." Jungkook added. "He'll come around, I'm sure. Also why haven't I met the guy yet?"
That lightened the mood a bit and I managed to have a good night with them before we all fell asleep. I had no idea what was going on with Yoongi though, the connection was so weak, as if he was still walking away. That scared me in a way no one could understand.
