91| Hoseok

Yoongi was quiet for most of the car trip and I managed to make it through a whole shift, despite how exhausted I felt on the inside. Changkyun hovered around me and made sure I ate on my breaks. I just wanted to sleep again. I don't think I'd ever felt as rested as when I'd slept in Jimin and Yoongi's arms. What a weird notion.

Its the fastest I'd ever gotten over one of those episodes.

Yoongi was waiting on the bench outside the restaurant when I pulled up; I leaned over to open his door. "Sorry, were you waiting long?"

Yoongi shook his head.

"Hoseok?"

"Hm?"

"I'm sorry. For yelling at you and blaming everything on you. None of us knows what's going on and I let that scare me. I shouldn't have blamed you."

"It's nothing you have to apologize for, Yoongi. We both know at the start of this I was trying to piss you off. I tried to make things difficult for you both. You had every reason to think I had something to do with this stuff. I can't fault you for that." I admitted.

We fell quiet after that, letting the hum of the tires on the pavement and the low roar of traffic fill the silence. The street lights cast their glow through the windows: bright, then dull, then dark. stole a glance at Yoongi through the rearview mirror. He was staring out the window, hair swept low over his eyebrows. I wanted to push it back. I looked away when the light changed, gripping the steering wheel tightly.

If this is the start of a tentative trust between the three of us, I won't do anything to hurt that.

"I think... you should have dinner with me and Beginning."

We were in the elevator, on the way up to Jimin's floor and Yoongi wasn't looking at me. He was staring at the glowing buttons on the panel. I felt the air leave my lungs in a rush and I turned my head to see if he was joking.

"Today?"

He looked to the side, avoiding my eyes.

"Yeah. We probably all need to work out whatever that was together. So don't make a big deal out of it."

I could tell he was frowning and the tips of his ears were red. I looked down, biting back a smile.

"O-Okay."
