Chapter Five: How R U Today
Everyone finally finishes bringing in all of the bags that came from the supermarket. Chan places his hands on his waist and stands straight. "Alright, mates, what are we cooking?"
"I don't know, man. It's your kitchen." (Y/N) shrugs.
"I agree." Seungmin mutters, walking out.
"Same." Hyunjin says.
"I'm out." Felix walks out after Hyunjin, every boy soon follows suit except Jeongin and Chan.
"Lazy arses." Chris mumbles under his breath.
"I'll help." (Y/N) shoots her hand up in the air.
"So will I," Jeongin says.
Chan smiles and speaks, "Well, then. Grab some pots and pans and let's get cooking some lasagna, kids!"
Half an hour later, the three are covered in some of the ingredients leftㅡ which is sauce and beans. Why? They had a mini food fight. "When is this food finishing? I'm hungry-- woah." Jisung pauses upon seeing his best friends. He then begins to laugh loudly. "Wh-What happened here?"
(Y/N) glares at Jeongin jokingly. "He started it!" She exclaims.
"Well, you threw beans at me! I don't like beans!" The boy accuses.
"It was an accident!"
Jeongin shoots his hands up in surrender. "Oops?"
"Yes, oops." She rolls her eyes.
"Come on, guys. Let's get this cleaned up." Chan says.
Jisung continues to laugh as he grabs a grape. "Yes, you do that." He says in between laughs as he walks out of the kitchen.
"Guys, let's play a game until the food finishes." Jeongin says.
(Y/N) shrugs, looking at Chan.
"Yeah, sure. Should I get the others?"
(Y/N) nods and Chan walks out to get the other seven boys. Jeongin pushes himself to sit on the counter. "So, when are you going to tell him?"
"Tell who what?"
Jeongin narrows his eyes. "You know."
(Y/N) sighs. "Never. Stop sounding like my mum, Jeongin!"
Jeongin's hands shoot up in surrender. "Alright, fine. Just saying, you might want to hurry it up. You know how many girls are crushing on him..."
(Y/N) sighs and walks out of the room. "I'll be back." She enters the small bathroom and splashes cold water on her face before glaring at herself in the mirror.
The girl has circles around her eyes and they look extremely tired. She glances at the razor on the counter before grabbing it.
Biting her lip, (Y/N) puts it in the cupboard above the sink before leaning on the wall behind her. She closes her eyes, feeling herself sliding down the wall. Not realising how she's falling asleep, (Y/N) leans her head on the wall for what feels like a second but is actually one hour.
Chan walks back into the kitchen to fetch his two friends, only to realise only one is there. "Where is (Y/N)?" He asks, looking around the small cream-colored room.
"(Y/N) just walked out. She said she'll be back and headed to the bathroom." Jeongin says and jumps off of the counter.
Chan nods slowly and walks into the living room, where the others are, Jeongin walking behind him. Some of the other guys ask the same thing that Chan asks, receiving the same response that he received. "Let's wait for her." Chan announces.
Thirty minutes later, the girl still hasn't come out, he wants to get up but he thinks that she just needs some time for whatever. After a full hour passes, him and the other guys start to get worried. Chan stands up after telling them to calm down. He takes a few steps before knocking on the bathroom's door.
No answer.
He tries again.
No answer.
"(Y/N)?"
No answer.
It's completely silent.
Chan holds his breath before opening the door slightly. He catches sight of the girl and opens it fully. He carefully walks over to her, even more scared than before, using two fingers to check her pulse.
It is as normal as it could get as she is sleeping. He smiles softly at the sight before taking her in his arms, lifting her bridal style and carrying her to room, having to walk through the living room first.
"She's okay?" Felix asks.
"Yeah..." Chan whispers, holding back a smile as he entered the room. He places her on the single bed and covers her with some sheets since it's pretty chilly.
He takes one more glance before walking out fully. "I think we should leave after we all eat. (Y/N) needs some rest." He says to the others.
Luckily, they agree and leave right after eating, saying their goodbyes before. Seungmin grabs his bag and is about to leave as they others did, except Chan. He notices Chan cutting something up in the kitchen.
"Aren't you coming, Chan?"
The older boy shakes his head. "I'll be there in a second. I just have to make sure that (Y/N) actually eats before she leaves home tomorrow."
Seungmin smiles a little to himself. He is glad that his older brother treats (Y/N) so well. "Alright, Hyung. See you at home, then."
"Bye, Sungminnie."
