Chapter Seventeen: Middle Of Starting Over

"I've got Berry!"

"Thank God!" Minho yells as he sees the girl putting Berry back in her cage. "Don't forget to lock it." He says.

"I won't, trust me." She informs and locks the cage. She stands back up and smiles at Minho. "What an eventful day."

"You can say that again." Minho replies.

The two burst out laughing.

"Okay, I suppose it's time I drop you back home now, we have school tomorrow."

"Actually, that's okay. I'm heading to the library for some alone time first." She tells him.

Minho looks at her, shocked. "Oh, okay. The library isn't too far from here, then. Text me when you get back home."

(Y/N) smiles. at the boy. "Sure."

Minho gives a wink before walking towards the exit. "I had fun today."

"So did I." The female calls right before Minho exits. She smiles in content before walking out and heading the opposite way, to the library. As always, when she enters, she greets the librarian and heads for a shelf.

After walking out of the library and heading home, (Y/N) calls Minho as promised.

"You're finally home." He smiles and says when his face pops up on the phone.

"Finally." She says, sighing in relief.

"Did you get a book?"

"Yeah, it was for research for Biology. The school didn't have it surprisingly."

"Ah...where are you now?"

"Home?"

Minho gives her a look and she chuckles. "I am," she says, jumping down on her bed. "Finally in my bed."

"Ah, okay. Well, I'm going to go. I'll see you tomorrow at school, yeah?"

"Yes. Good night, Minho."

"Night," he says before (Y/N) hangs up.

"What a day." She mutters, eyes closing already.

"Surprise, surprise, you're late, Ms. (L/N)."

"It's lunch, cut me some slack, Ji." The girl rolls her eyes and sits down.

"Where's your lunch?" Hyunjins asks, eyeing the small container that was just placed on the table in front of the female.

"Some days," (Y/N) starts, "I don't feel like eating much. Therefore, to make sure that I do eat, I brought these." She opens the container with the blue cover and shows her fruit salad.

"Fruits, really?" Seungmin narrows his eyes.

"Yes, Minnie. They are nutritious and delicious." The only girl argues.

Jeongin shrugs. "She has a point." He says, reaching for a strawberry. (Y/N) lets him, but eyes Hyunjin as he reaches for one before smacking his arm.

"Ow!" He whines. "Favoritism!"

"It's called a mother's love." She says, narrowing her eyes as the other boys snicker. "Also, 'please and thank you'."

Hyunjin glares at her before murmuring something and chomping on his pizza.

"So," Seungmin whispers, leaning closer to the girl. "Have you spoken to Chan?" He asks.

Subconsciously, her eyes travel to Chan's regular spot which was filled with him and next to him was her.

"Since when?"

"Yesterday, maybe?"

"Yesterday." She mumbles. "Speaking of yesterday, Minho took me to an animal shelter," she said as her eyes travel to Minho was sat in front of Chan, laughing about something. "I saw Berry."

Seungmin looks surprised. "Oh?"

"Yeah, Berry ran away. But I got the pup, so it's fine." She confesses.

"I'm guessing you both had fun, then." He smiles.

"Definitely."

Seungmin sighs. "Even though it isn't because of my dumb-arse brother, I'm glad you seem happy."

Happy...right.
