If I'm too young to fall in love,

Why do you keep running through my brain?

Chapter Fifteen: Too Young

With every step she takes, she feels drops hit her body. She's filled with defeat. She knows she'll be sick tomorrow, but she doesn't care. As she lifts her gaze from her soaked shoes to the few people in the street who pay no attention to her, from them, to the dark, grey, cloudy sky. Each raindrop feels like a tear of her own, but instead they aren't. But each drop that falls on her face mixes with her own hot tears.

She knew this was going to happen, so why did she listen to Seungmin anyway?

Everything only dawned on her a few minutes ago. She lost him.

(Y/N) sniffs and wipes her tears, though it doesn't matter. She frowns when she hears her name being called in the distance, she continues to walk, but faster. She doesn't want anyone to see her like this because she feels so weak and helpless.

Unfortunately for her, Minho grabs her by the shoulder and turns her around briskly, embracing her in his warmth.

(Y/N) doesn't feel the rain drops anymore as she let herself cry into Minho's chest.

"Come on, let's get you to my place." He whispers, pressing a kiss against her forehead.

She stays silent but allows Minho to take her back to more warmth.

With a wool blanket wrapped around her shivering (even though she just took a hot bath) body, (Y/N) thanks Minho for helping her and for a nice cup of hot chocolate that he gave her.

"I saw you out there, you were crying. Why?"

Minho asks as he sits on his bed next to her.

(Y/N) sighs softly. "You don't want to know."

"I do, actually." He chuckles softly.

It'll break his heart if he really likes me.

"Chan."

"Chan?"

"Chan," she repeats, sipping her hot chocolate.

Minho then remembers the day before when (Y/N) said she's going to confess to Chan. It hurt his heart. "How'd it go?" He asks with a bitter smile.

"Exactly as planned." She replies.

"Oh..."

Minho doesn't exactly know what to say. Inside, he is rejoicing but he also feels bad for the girl. After all, that is the reason that she was crying in the rain.

"Come here." He opens his arms wide. (Y/N) doesn't think twice and hugs Minho. "I'm taking you out on that date Saturday after school, you need to cheer up."

(Y/N) dreads going to school the next day, but she pushes herself out of her bed and goes into the kitchen. Today, she only grabs a banana, she doesn't feel like eating today.

The walk to school is boring, and her depressed playlist is on full blast. Her head down in sorrow. Just two nights ago, when she got home from Minho's place, she got a call from her sobbing mother, her parents broke it off. Her dad finally came home, and when he did, he broke her mother's heart.

Ever Since, she hasn't been fully focused on what she usually is focused on. School, work, friends. She avoided everyone and wants no one to know.

Of course, Seungmin and Chan know because of their parents. Whenever one of them tries to talk to her, she avoids the subject or them, or both.

(Y/N) walks into the school building, wishing that her music could be louder. All of the chatter around her fighting with the music's volume.

"(Y/N)!" Yells a person that she wishes would just disappear...from her heart.

She acts like she can't hear him and speeds up to her first class. Sadly, she's grabbed by her wrist and spun around to meet Chan's dull eyes.

"Can I help you?" She asks, annoyed while pulling her earphones out and stuffing them into her backpack.

Chan bites his lip and sighs, looking down at their hands before letting them go. "H-How are you?"

Stupid question, Chan. He thinks to himself.

(Y/N) scoffs and looks away before meeting his eyes again. "Fine." Then she turns around and walks away.

Chan huffs and runs after her, matching her pace. "Did you eat?"

"Yes."

He knows she's lying. "(Y/N)..."

(Y/N) huffs and turns to meet Chan's eyes. "Stop, Chan! Stop acting like you care!"

"I do care, (Y/N)! You know that."

His eyes soften as he takes a proper look at the younger girl.

"Chan...not right now." She sighs and turns back around.

"(Y/N)..." He says softly, yet, she ignores him and continues walking to class. "I guess I'll talk to you after school then."

"i wish i could let you go."
