Partners In Crime (Cody Carson X Reader)

Where we gonna go,

Eventually I made it home and got some rest. Before I was able to sleep I tossed and turned with the thought of cody doing something.
I must have passed out at some point because I awoke to the morning sun. I walked downstairs to see that maxx was eating breakfast.
"How was your night with cody?"
"It was good. Um, I have a question," I sit down across from maxx and continue. "Has Cody ever done anything bad?"
"Um, not really. Did he do something to you?"
"No, no, he just," I wanted to tell maxx but I didn't know what to say.
"Never mind."
"Ok but you can tell me anything,"
"I know,"
I grabbed my jacket and started heading to Cody's house. It's probably just me being paranoid.
When I make it to Cody's house I notice that his cars trunk was open. I decided to peek in. In the trunk was a switch blade and a few hundred dollar bills scattered around.
What is this?
I was standing behind the car when I heard Cody's front door open and close. I didn't know to hide or confront him.
Well he is my boyfriend.
I walked over and pretended I didn't see what's in the trunk.
"Oh hey Avery," he seemed excited to see me.
"Hey, what are you doing today?" I tried to not act suspicious.
"Nothing much, do you want to get dinner later?"
"Yeah, that'll be great."
"Alright, I'll meet you here at 7."
We hugged and I started walking home. When I was out of sight I started to run.
I wanted to follow Cody and see what he's doing.
Out of breath, I made it home and got in my car. I prefer walking places but curiosity killed the cat.
I started up my car and started driving back to Cody's house. There is a possibility that he already left and I did this for nothing.
When I arrived, his car was still there. I parked at a distance and waited. After only about 5 minutes Cody walked out of his house. I noticed something attached to his leg.
Is that a gun?
He got in his car and started driving. I followed at a safe distance. He pulled up to a shop and went in.
After a few minutes I heard gun shots. I guess I want thinking because I got it of my car and went inside. I was scared for cody.
I realized how dumb I was when I walked through the door but I stopped in my tracks when I saw cody with a gun pointed at a cashier.
