I ran down the stairs before it got dark. I knew that once it was dark, we wouldn't be able to see anything.
I ran down and met up with the others.
"Where are we going to sleep?" Dan asked.
"Well it's going to be a uncomfortable night. We are sleeping on the floor."
Cody responded.
"Really?" Zach seemed sad about it.
We had only a few minutes left of light, it was almost pitch black.
We laid down next to one another and tried to get comfy.
The only comfy thing was snuggling with Cody. His arms were warm and he had a loving embrace.
I felt safe and protected in his arms, but when it got dark and quite I started overthinking.
Im the bad guy. Well duh, I've robbed places and now I'm just paying for it. It's all my fault that Maxx, Dan, Zach, and Austin have to deal with this.
Why am I such a terrible person?
I didn't sleep at all that night.
Once again I spent the night thinking. The sun started to rise and I couldn't lay there anymore.
I got up and went outside. It's not the smartest thing to do but I needed fresh air.
I opened the squeaky door, sat in the grass, and watched the sunrise.
It was beautiful.
I heard the door open again, I turned around to see Cody.
"Hey," I started the conversation.
"What are you doing out here?" He sat next to me.
"Just thinking,"
"I'm sorry I did this, I just wanted to protect you."
"You are, we would have lost the house if you didn't do anything." I leaned into him.
He lifted my chin with his hand and kissed me.
He has the best kisses.
