"Avery?"
"Cody? Wha- what are you doing?" I started to back up.
Cody noticed im scared and forcefully grabbed the money that the cashier had in his hands.
I started running when I felt arms go around me and lift me up.
"What the hell are you doing?" I yell as I started kicking.
Cody put me in the passenger seat of his car and started the engine.
"Cody?" I yelled. I was scared, cody actually was doing bad things.
"Listen, I can explain everything." He spoke calm even though he was driving fast.
"Life can get hard but I will never hurt anyone and I'm doing this to keep you safe,"
I cut him off, "keep me safe? You want to rob places to keep me safe?"
"So maxx didn't tell you."
"Tell me what?"
"That we're losing money. Everyone in the band is on the verge of losing our houses. We came to the conclusion that we're all going to live at your house. Please believe me when I say that I am doing this for you."
I didn't know what to think. Maxx was probably going to tell me but why did he wait so long?
"What about my car?"
"Um, we'll have to get it later."
Red and blue lights started to show up behind us and Cody dove faster.
We stopped talking as I witnessed him evade and escape the cops.
After there were no more cops around cody took me home.
"Listen, don't tell anyone what you saw ok? It could be bad for us."
"Ok" I said softly.
