Ch. 10

Minutes turned to hours.

Bucky was anxious as he paced back and forth with his hand on his forehead. Steve was there comforting his best friend as Tony and Bruce along with Strange were helping Esperanza. Bucky couldn't understand what was wrong with him. He felt like he needed her in his life.

"After Thor went for the head, and he didn't snap, one of his soldiers killed her best friend." Steve said as he sighed and rubbed his temple.

"That happened when..."

"We won in Wakanda. And Tony got home safe." Steve told Bucky who simply shook his head.

After what seemed forever, Doctor Strange came out along with Tony and Bruce. They smiled and teared up when they told Steve and the rest the good news.

Bucky stayed with Esperanza day and night. He wouldn't leave unless he really needed to of course. That's when it happened.

Esperanza's POV:

Pain.

That's all I felt.

I felt someone taking my hand delicately as if it would fall off and I slowly opened up my eyes. I hissed I fully opened my eyes. I stared at Bucky who was silently mumbling some words as he had his eyes closed.

"Bucky..." I whispered and he quickly looked up.

"Oh thank God." Bucky said with... tears on his eyes?

"Why are you crying? Oh! I need water." I said making him nod and quickly got out of the room.

I decided to sit up and groaned when I felt my wrists hurting and my lower body hurting. That's when the memories came back. I began to hyperventilate and grabbed onto the sheets tightly.

Bucky came in with my water and immediately put it on the little table that was next to the door and went in front of me.

"Doll? Look at me." Bucky said as I tried to stare directly at him.

My heartbeat was going faster making me tear up. Bucky gently rubbed my hands that were shaking and he stared directly at me.

"Everything's okay. You're here with me. You're safe." He whispered and I shook my head.

"He... he..." I tried to say but ended up crying.

"Doll.."

"He... he... raped me..." I cried and I could tell that Bucky was getting angry.

I saw Bucky trying to calm himself and then he gave me a hug in which I returned. He rubbed my back and his metal arm caressed my hair somehow. He let go and kissed my forehead.

"He doesn't deserve you." He said and I still continued to cry.

"He was my first love and he did that. I'm so ugly and so worthless! I feel ashamed." I cried even harder and Bucky's lip was trembling.

"You deserve better. I'll tell the team you're okay." Bucky said before handing me the cup of water and walked out.

I sat there and drank my water as I waited for the team to come.

Third POV:

Bucky angrily punched the wall that was in the living room causing everyone to rush towards him.

"Is she okay?"

"Is she awake?"

"What's wrong?"

Bucky tried to calm down and then he looked around to see his teammates worrying about the person that were like their family.

"She's awake..." Bucky began and the team cheered.

"But... I know why she was dirty and stuff when we found her." Bucky said making the team look at him in confusion.

"What?" Bruce stepped up and Tony grabbed Bruce's arm to keep him steady.

"Brad.... raped her... I'm going to kill that son of a bitch." Bucky angrily said and he noticed that Bruce was turning green.

Bruce felt as if his world was falling apart. He harshly yanked Tony's hand out of his arm. The team quickly noticed what was happening, and then tried to keep him calm.

Bruce couldn't help but to feel anger. He could sense the Hulk coming out. The doorbell rang causing everyone to walk towards the the door. Bruce tried to calm down on the other hand.

"I'll open it." Bruce said making Tony protest but Bruce gave him the warning look.

He opened the door and the team began to take out their weapons.

"Good evening, Mr. Banner. I'm so sorry to hear what happened to Esperanza. I came here as fast I i could." Brad said as he held flowers and looked around in confusion at the people that were pointing their guns at him.

"Let's go get that son of a language." Steve angrily said making everyone nod.

But before they even had the chance to get him inside and interrogate him, even torturing him for what he did to Esperanza, Bruce lost it and harshly pushed him outside.

Luckily no one was nearby and they couldn't hear them. Bruce kicked and punched Brad. Bucky ran after him and grabbed Brad by the hair and held him on a chokehold. Bruce walked slowly but dangerously towards Brad making Brad smirk.

The team were behind Bruce, in shock since they didn't saw what came.

"You piece of shit. Why." Bruce said and twitched an eye when Brad spit on him.

That's when the team saw Bruce's neck turning green.

"Bruce..."

"Bucky let him go." Steve told Bucky and Bucky harshly threw him to the ground.

"Hulk is about to come out. Let's step back." Tony said with a scared face.

That's when Bruce couldn't speak anymore since Hulk came out to play.
