Chapter 11

"Okay, I can do this, just take a deep breath."
"Are you talking to yourself again Momo?"
"Ignore Kyouka, she's just trying to get you out of the zone."
"What 'zone' are you even taking about Momo."
"The 'zone' where I organize my ideas and thoughts in order to create a suitable script that everyone can enjoy! Do you get it now!"
"Oh so your doing a play, the music course students are unsurprisingly doing a concert."
"Yeah, I figured."
"Okay then, I'm heading back to my room and you can continue to talk to yourself."
"IT'S CALLED POSITIVE SELF-TALK KYOUKA!"
"Yeah, yeah whatever." She waved her hand as she headed back to the room.

Momo really wanted to make a good script, almost the entire class submitted their's today and tomorrow was the last day she could submit hers.

Come on Momo! It has to be something different, something that will catch the audience's attention, something that will make them think.

Just then there was a knock on the door,
"Coming!" Momo hurriedly made her way to open it,
"Yes, oh hi Todoroki!"
"Hey, here's the book, I'm done reading it."
"Thanks, how was it?"
"Well, I don't know how to necessarily put it into words but I liked it and for some reason I feel that your going to love it."
"I need to read it then."
"Are you done with your script?"
"Well..."
"Okay, so you didn't get an idea yet."
"More like, I'm searching for the right idea."
"Searching?"
"Yes, searching."
"Read the book, I feel like maybe that might help you."
"It's that good huh."
He shrugged his shoulders, and looked at her for a few seconds,
"Uhh Todoro..."
"Your hair looks nice when it's let down."
"Wh-at? I-I mean t-thanks your hair looks nice when it-i-it's let down t-too!"
Why Momo why? Why are you so awkward?!
"No, what I meant to say was..."
Shouto smiled at her, a soft, gentle small one and it was during these moments that Momo truly felt light and fluttery and all the possible uwu emotions that one could feel.
"Alright then, see you tomorrow Yaoyorozu."
"Yeah, tomorrow, I'll show you the script okay?"
"Sure."

As Momo closed the book, she felt a numerous things.

It was bittersweet yet heartwarming at the same time, the way the author blended conflicting emotions like sadness and joy was simply beautiful. This book cannot make me feel one emotion, it cannot just be heartwarming neither can it just be bittersweet. It's simple but complicated, humorous but serious and it's so pristine, fresh and original. I've never read a book like this and yet I feel an odd sense of nostalgia.

Momo all in all was content with what she read and didn't regret it one bit. For some reason, she related to it but it also offered her unique perspectives, perspectives that she was glad to have known.

"I think I've got an idea." Momo mumbled and immediately started writing.

The next day

"What do you think? Do you think it's good enough? I really hope I didn't mess it up! But you need to tell me the truth, although considering it's you, you'd tell me the truth anyway, come on Todoroki! I'm so nervous!" Momo was rambling up all her words now and Shouto just found it adorable.

Do I pause so that I can make her more nervous, it's cute when she's waiting for an answer.

"Well..."
Her charcoal eyes getting bigger every second as she looked up at him, waiting for an answer.

This is too much.

"It's good, really good, I couldn't stop reading it and it honestly makes me think, like actually think about it." And as soon as those words left his mouth the reaction he got from Momo made him glad to have said what he said.

Her eyes just lit up and she smiled, she was bouncy all over again, it made him happy, how does she do this? He honestly had no idea.

"I'm so happy." The two of them said together.
He's happy too?
Did I just tell her that 'I'm happy' out loud, get a hold of yourself Shouto.

The two of them turned their heads away, because they didn't know what to say and because they're awkward cinnamon rolls.

"Anyways, let's show it to the class." Shouto quickly stated.
"But what if they don't like it, what if it's a flop, what if..."
"Yaoyorozu." His firm voice stopped her from completing her sentence.
"Have more confidence in your abilities, now let's go and show them." And with that he lead a stunned Momo to class.

"Hello Yaomomo! Did you come up with a script idea." Mina bubbly approached her.
"Yes, I did." Momo slowly said.
"Okay then let's see it." Tenya also made his way to her.
"Alright, here you go." She handed the script to him and soon the entire class huddled over the piece of paper.

The class was silent as the entire class was engrossed in the script.

Tenya slowly placed the paper down.
"Not bad ponytail." Katsuki mumbled and went back to her seat and soon the entire class erupted.

"THAT WAS AMAZING YAOMOMO!"
"It was deep and interesting."
"I don't read but this made me want to read."
"Great job Yaoyorozu!"
"I'm so proud of you Momo!"
"You should write more!"

"Okay everyone, settle down, based on your reactions I assume that this is the script where going with." Tenya smiled.

"YES!!" The class yelled in unison.

Momo didn't know how to react, she had never in her entire life received praise in this number and she was just so overwhelmed with happiness, almost like she was going to burst.

"See, I told you." Shouto looked at her, trying his best not to smile.
"Todoroki, just smile, it's looks nice on you." Momo didn't even realize what she said because she was just overflowing with happiness.
His eyes widened, but then smiled.
"Bookshop." He bluntly said out of nowhere.
"What do you mean?"
"Let's go to the bookshop together."
"Okay? When?"
"Tomorrow."
"Sure."

Momo was confused but why would she say no to Todoro- to the bookshop, why would she say no to the bookshop, it's not like she's fond of his company or anything.

At that moment the entire class was like,
He asked her out didn't he? Or are they both just too dense to realize.

Katsuki looked at the two,
Half and half with ponytail, not a bad match.
