"This dress is quite elegant mother, I think I'll take it." Momo looked at herself in the mirror.

"Okay then, that's done. We've got your shoes, accessories, your dress and we've finished off our other errands. Let's get ourselves home." Mrs. Yaoyorozu cheerily let out as she instructed an employee to take the dress to the counter.

Momo smiled to herself.
Finally. I can go home now.

"Momo, when we reach home, I'd like to talk to you about a few matters, you must be tired so let's have this chat over a cup of tea shall we?" Mrs. Yaoyorozu smiled as they prepared to leave the store.

I.NEED.SLEEP

"Okay mother." Momo sighed as they made their way to the car.

Today sure is a long day.

The car ride was silent and Momo dreaded the 'chat' her mother seemed so eager about.

It's definitely about the party and my lack of social skills. Uhhhhh........

They finally reached the mansion and Momo hurriedly walked towards the tea parlor.

I want this to be done with quickly.

"Okay Momo," Mrs. Yaoyorozu sighed as she sat down in front of Momo after ordering her tea and snacks, "You are well aware of what I want to speak to you about, are you not?"

"Yes mother and I'm prepared to listen."

"Good. Now Momo," Mrs. Yaoyorozu began,
"You are going to inherit the family business one day and when you do, you'll have a tremendous amount of responsibilities. You will have a lot  of things to deal with, including people. You will have to master negotiation and patience when dealing with them.

Momo I know seeing the same people might trigger the previous incidents but sweetie it's time you move past it. Yes they caused you much suffering but it's over now, there's nothing left to do but accept it and move on. Once you start stepping out of your shell, it'll be easier for your future.

I know your father is a bit harsh in his way of explaining things but you know he means well. He just wants what's best for you, that is all. So this time, why don't you try stepping into the crowd because last time you just saw the crowd and ran off."

Momo remembered that time. That day would have been a bad memory but it was also the day where she first met Shouto.

"Mother." Momo paused, hesitant, "I'll try this time, your right. It's time I try coming out of my shell but not for too long, please?" Momo looked at her mother with pleading eyes.

Mrs. Yaoyorozu's expression softened, "Sure."

"Mother, I know that father doesn't exactly believe that I wasn't responsible but you do, right?"

"...yes darling, I believe you."

That small silence was enough to make Momo understand that her mother doubted her too.
Oh well, it's not like anyone believed me in the first place.

Momo gave her mother a small smile, "Thank you mother, I'll be heading to my room, I'm a bit sleepy."

"Sure, go along now."

Momo collapsed onto her bed as soon as she entered her room.

Though mother can be a bit insensitive she still cares. It's not like she's wrong, it's time I face them, I need to be brave. It's almost ten years, those people probably forgot anyway. It's going to be alright, I can do this.
