Chapter 26

There they stood, Enji, Rei, Fuyumi, Natsuo, Shouto and Momo.
All of them in front of Touya.

"How did you get here?" He snarled.

"What are you doing here?" He then quietly asked.

"We're here to talk Touya." Rei gently answered.

"I have nothing to say to you."

He looked at his mother and then everyone else in the room, his eyes landing on his father's, "Or any of you for the matter."

"Touya, hear us out, we just need to ask you a couple of things." Natsuo stated.

"You seek me out after 10 years and the only reason is to ask about 'a couple of things' that probably don't involve my wellbeing in the slightest. Tell me why I should hear you out! I don't give a crap about any of you or your shitty lives. Just leave me alone!" He bellowed, his eyes masked in fury.

"Touya." Enji's voice boomed.

Touya stood still, rooted to the spot but then quickly recovered, "What? What is it this time you stupid old man, I'm not running any errands for you anymore so keep that in mind or else-"

"I'm sorry." Enji cut him off.

"W-what?" Touya's voice wavered.

"I'm sorry for using you to do the dirty work. I'm sorry for abandoning you and shoving down responsibilities and expectations down your throat and I'm sorry for being such a terrible, terrible father."

Enji looked at his oldest son, "You don't have to forgive me, what I have done to you is unforgivable. All you wanted to do was please me and I took that for granted."

Enji gave this all he got, he tried in his own way to get his emotions across. "I'm trying to fix the mess I've caused, which is why I'm here. To talk to you and to ask of you one favor."

He looked at Momo, "Help me save this girl."

The room was in stunned silence.

Rei gave her husband an encouraging smile.

"You apologized. You actually apologized. All these years, if you had only done that, then maybe things could be different but now, it's too late." Touya quietly said.

"What do you mean?" Shouto suddenly asked.

Touya looked at his youngest brother and smiled, "Shouto, remember that time when I you met outside the convenience store in UA?"

Shouto nodded in response.

"Well you see, the plan that you rejected wasn't this old man's scheme at all, it was Shigaraki's. It's a plan that involved taking down
All Might industries by killing Yagi Toshinori. This meant that the Endeavor corporation would take the lead."

Rei cut him halfway, "And you wanted to kill off Enji and convince the rest of your siblings to take over the company with you, alongside Shigaraki." Rei continued, "Was that your plan, Touya?"

Touya looked down, "Yes."

"The apple doesn't fall far from the tree." Rei mumbled.

"But you wouldn't have done it." Fuyumi stated out of the blue,
"
You wanted your siblings with you and you were already happy when dad apologized." She looked at her brother,

"You're a good person Touya, deep down you really are but you've done many bad things. Things that have darkened your heart. So why don't you start making things right?" She smiled at him.

"We'll be there with you, every step of the way, this time we won't separate, this time we won't abandon each other." Rei hugged Touya.

He slowly hugged her back, the act foreign to him.
