Shouto packed a few of his things, attempted to 'clean' his room, said goodbye to Izuku and finally left his dorm.
Should I text her a goodbye or do I just go to her and say goodbye? It's not like I'm never going to see her, I'm literally going to see her again in about a week. Why do I have to feel the need to give her a goodbye?
What do I do? When was this so damn hard?!Shouto made his way to Momo's dorm, standing outside, his hands hovering inches away from the door's surface and then suddenly the door opened, revealing a bright Momo.
"Oh, Todoroki?" Momo paused, looking at a Shouto who tried to pull of an act that he just passed her door and that he didn't expect to 'coincidently' meet her.
"Is there anything you need?" Momo chuckled as she looked at Shouto.
"It's nothing, I just happened to pass by." He tried to say in 'a-matter-of-factly' tone.
"Uh-huh, I see." Momo smiled, knowing all too well that he was lying.
"Well then, I'll be leaving now so bye." He quickly said.
"Me too! Do you want to go to the train station together?" She asked happily.
"Sure." He finally looked at her properly, "But don't you have other arrangements to come pick you up?"
"Not today, you see, my parents don't know I'm coming home today and I really want to just travel freely, without anyone having to have the responsibility of taking care of me." She stopped, moved closer to Shouto and whispered in his ear,
"So I didn't tell them." She finished proudly.
Hearing her voice so close gave him goosebumps and he just didn't know what to do.
"Wow,what a rebel." Shouto rolled his eyes playfully.
"What! It's new for me okay?" Momo replied, trying to pull of a sad expression but failing terribly.
"Alright then, shall we leave?" Shouto asked,
"Let's go!"
——————
"That.was.CRAZY." Momo laughed as Shouto and herself finally settled on the train.
"It was your fault for getting distracted by that calico cat." Shouto stated,
"You were distracted by it too and plus I was the one who told us that the train would leave in a minute." Momo cheerfully countered.
"Suuurrrre." Shouto dragged.
The two of them spent the next hour in conversation, talking about nothing yet everything.
"Wait, Todoroki you live in Tokyo too?" Momo suddenly asked.
"Yes." He replied as blank as ever.
"Who knew that we lived in the same city, huh." Momo said as she stared out the window, lost in thought.
"Yaoyorozu." Shouto called out hesitantly,
"Hmm."
"Do you like your family?"Silence.
"Yes. Yes I do." She paused, "At times it can get hard. It's hard to follow all the rules and sometimes things are just unfair but I love them. They gave me a roof over my head, delicious food and they cared for me in their........ own way, that alone is enough reason to love them." She looked at Shouto, his expression serious,
"Todoroki, people make mistakes, it's human nature. Forgiveness isn't easy I know, but sometimes we need to let go of our pride and accept that they've committed a horrible deed, accept it in order to prevent anymore cracks to a bond. It doesn't mean you forgive them, it's just, well, how do I say this?" Momo searched for the right word,
