Sarah Sawyer stormed off her flat after letting Kenneth know she wouldn't be having any of it. She wasn't going to tolerate something like this. The father of her child was a murderer. She made her way to anywhere away from the flat and Kenneth Morstan.

How could I be so blind? Sarah thought. My boyfriend has been a murderer since before I even met him and I never noticed nor suspected anything!

Sarah hailed a cab without actually knowing where she was going; she got on the cab and hesitated before answering when the cabbie asked her where he would be taking her. She sighed and then she thought of Laura.

Oh, Laura. She thought. Her only friend. The one she loved so much, the only one that had not made her feel like a murderer after knowing of her past in the army. The only one who had been totally honest at all times. Her shitty friend. Her shitty friend. No matter what, she would always be her friend. No matter how they had treated each other after getting themselves into that silly love triangle fighting for Kenneth.

Sarah looked up at the now annoyed cabbie who waited for an answer, "221c Baker Street," she said as the cabbie nodded and turned to drive after glaring at the blonde woman.

Once Sarah was there she paid the cabbie and thanked him as she got off the car. She slowly walked over the flat's door and before she could knock the door was opened. Sarah gasped at the sudden movement but sighed in relief as she saw the landlady standing in the doorway, "Sarah, my dear child! Long time no see!"

Sarah smiled, "Mrs. Rogers!" Sarah had last seen the woman just three months earlier and it had been in the market and they hadn't even had time to speak that much. Sarah had seven months without coming to 221c Baker Street to visit Laura and she knew Mrs. Rogers had obviously noticed. She was aware that Mrs. Rogers knew about their problem and how their friendship had been slowly shattering. However she had not intended for the kind woman to think of it in a personal way. "I know, it's just that Laura and I--"

"No need for explanations, darling." The woman offered a lovingly smile, "I am aware of the situation and I am very glad that you decided to come and talk things over with Laura."

Sarah just nodded as she looked down.

Mrs. Rogers kept staring at her until it became too awkward to deal with and Sarah finally let out a short breath and looked up, "is she home?"

"Yes, she was just getting finished with one of her experiments. I think she was tidying up." Mrs. Rogers informed, "I have some errands to run right now, how about I leave you both to deal with your problems in some privacy?" The woman asked as she smiled and tapped Sarah's shoulder lightly.

Sarah couldn't help but smile and nod, "that would be great, thanks."

"Well, I must be going right now," the woman said, "looking good by the way, Sarah. Is it a boy or a girl?"

Sarah looked down at her belly, "it's going to be a girl." Sarah smiled brightly.

"Lovely!" Mrs. Rogers said, "well, I must be going now. See you around, darling!"

And with that she was gone.

Sarah went up the stairs and knocked the door two times like she did when they shared the flat. Sarah and Laura had accorded that if Sarah knocked three times it meant either Greg, Matthew or Botticelli would be coming with her, if she knocked two times it meant she had come alone, and if she knocked just once it meant they would have to be going out for a case. Sarah tried to trigger something inside her former friend. Some sentiment maybe.

The door was opened and Laura eyed her companion in wonder, what was Sarah doing here?

Laura opened her mouth but closed it again.

Sarah's eyes widened a little, was Laura actually speechless?

"Are you actually speechless? Hold on, let me call the newspapers." Sarah joked. Well, not really.

Laura's lips lifted in a smile, "I've missed this teasing, Sarah."

"Have you?" Sarah asked. "I have as well."

Laura looked down at the floor in shame, "what happened to us?"

"I guess we fell in love with the wrong man," Sarah whispered.

"Sarah, you know that I haven't gave up in Kenneth even after his shocking confession." Laura said.

"I supposed it was you the one he had been talking to," Sarah said.

"Well, and I supposed that you had heard him after that feral scream he made."

Sarah sighed, "who wouldn't have?"

Laura nodded, "That's an accurate question."

Sarah looked away avoiding the cold look in Laura's eyes.

"Sarah, do you know what it is to fall?" She suddenly asked.

Sarah looked up once again at Laura. Laura had several times asked her which was her concept of something peculiar everyone thought to know the definition and gave her as answer a very phylosophycal thought. Sarah used to love when Laura did this so she felt a reaussurance inside off herself when she asked this.

"What is it to fall?" Sarah asked.

"To fall is to fly," Laura said.

"What?" Sarah almost smiled.

"An Irish criminal said once that falling was like flying except there was a more permament destination," with that Sarah's half smile disappeared as Laura quickly stepped forward and gripped her forearms as she pushed her backwards and down the stairway. Feeling satisfaction as she heard Sarah's scream until it stopped indicating Sarah Sawyer was either limp or dead. It didn't matter anyway. All she cared for was to kill the seven month old fetus inside of her and claim Kenneth for herself. Grinning, Laura went down the stairs kneeling in front of Sarah. She placed two fingers over her neck searching for a pulse, hoping it wouldn't be there. She felt it, low and steady. Eager to keep her alive. Laura wished it wouldn't. Then she got back to her feet and faked a few tears before running out, phone in hand, screaming for someone to help her.
