The Pursuit

A/N: Short chapter from Sarah's POV so you don't throw bricks at me regarding the next one. As for the timeline, yes, I am messing with it XD Sorry, timeline. Sarah is in her room listening to Laura's and Irene's conversation outside her room.

Sarah looked around the room and gritted her teeth. How dare Irene wish her a good day? How was there any possible way in which she would have had a good day? Of course not! Her baby had died. Her baby had been killed! By her supposed best friend. Sarah was having none of it. Sarah stood up from the bed and made her way to the door. Pressing her ear against the door, Sarah could listen the whole conversation crystal clear.

"Do you remember Nirvana?" Irene had asked.

Sarah did remeber Nirvana.

Kenneth and Greg had told her a great deal about Nirvana. She knew the girl had been kidnapped by her father. She also knew that Kenneth had killed her father.

Oh...

Now everything made sense.

Fuck it.

Sarah had gone through a lot and she was having none of it. Sarah had been in the army and she wasn't just going to miss this gunfight.

So Kenneth and Nirvana were going to have a gunfight? And Laura and Irene were stepping in? So why couldn't she? Sarah heard the footsteps and voices fade and she realized that they had left her room. Sarah reassured herself with a nod and she opened her room's door. She walked through the hall and approached a nurse by clamping her hand over her mouth and dragging her inside a supply closet. There she knocked the nurse uncounscious and stripped her from her uniform and quietly left the hospital.

'Poor lad,' Sarah thought as she left the hospital dressed in the poor nurse's uniform. But this needed to be done.

She needed to hurry so she could follow Irene and Laura to wherever they were going.

This needed to be done. This was her only chance to kill Laura.

She wouldn't miss it.
