In The End We All Lose

Nirvana sighed as she looked through the window, "I wish I had more time. That way I could make this more enjoyable."

Kenneth looked up as he gasped, "what do you mean?"

Nirvana turned at him, "your annoying girlfriend is here."

Kenneth looked stunned, "my--my girlfriend?"

"Indeed, and she's brought a friend." Nirvana looked bored.

Kenneth was intrigued. Was she talking of Sarah or Laura?

Nirvana turned at the window once more, "I think I might be able to kill 3 birds with one stone."

Nirvana then drew her gun and walked out of Kenneth's view.

Kenneth pressed his forehead against the floor and let out a defeated scream.

Laura clenched her teeth in fury upon hearing the scream, she turned to Irene who sat down at the car and looked so bored. Irene let out a yawn as she rubbed her sleepy eyes. Upon noticing the fury in Laura's eyes she raised an eyebrow, "what?"

"What are we waiting for?"

"We? I beg your pardon? I'll go in when I feel like going." Irene argued.

"What?!" Laura growled.

"Shall I remind you that I said I would kill Nirvana but I did not say I would save Kenneth's ass? If you wish to save him then do it yourself, darling."

Laura glared at her, "fine."

Laura turned around ad walked inside the house. She was no longer angry, now she was scared.

"Ugh, fine." She heard from behind, "I'm going to help you save Kenneth but first I am going to have to meet Botticelli so we can assure there will be no cops involved."

Laura nodded and closed the door, "where are you, Nirvana?" She demanded.

"I supposed you would arrive," she heard the voice call, "I'm glad you did as well."

Laura looked around her, "Nirvana?" She called out.

"Who else do you think would it be?" The voice asked.

"Show yourself!"

"Why would I want to do that?"

"Don't be a coward!!" Laura growled.

Laura then went up the stairs and met the sight of the injured Kenneth. She gasped and kneeled beside him, "Erick--"

"Eleanor, be--be-"

"What?" Laura asked, "what is it?"

"Behind you..."

Laura turned around and met the sight of Nirvana Milverton, who grinned mockingly.

"You're pathetic, you know that?" Nirvana asked.

"I hope you understand I am going to take my time killing you," Laura said without even looking at her.

Nirvana laughed audibly, "what for?"

Laura stood up and crossed the distance between them and grabbed Nirvana roughly by her coat collar and shook her like a rabbit, "you dare to ask?!"

Kenneth watched how Laura didn't seem to mind to face a dangerous killer for him. It was clear she loved him and would do anything for him.

Oh right...

Kenneth realized that this way he could take advantage of her love and once Laura had killed Nirvana he could kill her so no one would mind about he having murdered William Milverton all those years ago. He had his solution. Now all he had to do was wait.

Nirvana chuckled and turned her deadly gaze at Kenneth, "do you think this way he'll love you back? He's using you, Rockefeller! He's using you and after you rid yourself of me he'll rid himself of you!"

Fuck, Kenneth thought, this girl isn't as stupid as she seems.

"What are you talking about?" Laura seemed thoughtful about this.

"In the end we all lose, Laura. I'll lose my life, Dr. Sawyer lost her baby, and you will lose what you've been fighting for because he can't love anything but himself!"

Nirvana's words seemed to hit Laura like a dagger.

Then a loud crash was heard and they all turned towards the noise.

"Laura!!" A hatred filled scream called.
